EcoVacs N79S vs. Eufy 11S (Slim)

Vacuuming floors and carpets is an important part of keeping your home clean. The problem about vacuuming is that, unless you like doing it, it can be an extremely mundane task. Even the initial excitement of using lightweight stick models can fade over time. Instead, why not get your robotic servant to do your carpet and hard-floor cleaning for you?

EcoVacs Deebot N79S vs eufy RoboVac 11S (Slim)

In this article, we’re going to compare two high-rated robot vacuum cleaners – the eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S (Slim) and the EcoVacs Deebot N79S.

Both of these pancake-shaped robots are extremely thin for crawling between the legs of your couch and under bed frames, they have long battery lives for extensive cleaning, and they feature anti-drop technology to keep your robot as healthy as possible for many to come. Without further ado, let’s see how these two robotic vacuum cleaners fare.

Height

eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S
As time goes on, the pancake design of robotic vacuum cleaners will continue to become shorter in height. The eufy RoboVac 11S – the Slim version – measures only 2.85 inches tall. Compared to the 11+ version, this device has lost about 0.5 inches of its height. This robot’s detectors will let it know whether or not it can fit under your furniture or not.

EcoVacs Deebot N79S vs eufy RoboVac 11S (Slim)

EcoVacs Deebot N79S
The Debot N79S measures about 3 inches tall, allowing it to fit under all sorts of furniture and bed frames without bumping its head. Like the eufy, this machine’s built-in detectors will tell it to either try to clean under tight-fitting spaces or to turn around and clean elsewhere.

Conclusion
There’s a very insignificant difference in height between the eufy 11s (slim) and the EcoVacs N79S. For most hard-to-reach areas in your home such as under couches, these robotic vacuum cleaners can either fit under them or not at all. There aren’t that many places that the 2.85-inch eufy can reach that the 3-inch Deebot N79S can’t.

Remote Control

eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S
The ability to command to sweep up your floors from afar is what makes robotic vacuum cleaners the best choice for lazy folks or people who hate vacuuming. The eufy comes with a handy remote control that you can use to set up daily cleaning schedules, select cleaning modes and paths, and tell it to return to its charging dock.

EcoVacs Deebot N79S
If you want to control the EcoVacs, you have two choices – either using the remote control that comes included with this robot kit, or download the app and send instructions using your Smartphone via Wi-Fi. The main difference between using your Smartphone and the RC is that your Smartphone can send instructions to the robot even when you’re not home. Be sure your home uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi – the EcoVacs won’t be able to connect to any network using different frequencies.

Conclusion
The only difference between the 11S and the N79S is that you can control the latter using your Smartphone. However, if your home doesn’t use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, then you’re left relying on the included remote control. In that case, there’s no difference between the eufy slim and the EcoVacs N79S.

EcoVacs Deebot N79S vs eufy RoboVac 11S Comparison

Suction Power

eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S
The Pa rating will let you know how well your vacuum cleaner or robotic model will suction up dust particles and debris from your floors. The higher the rating, the more powerful the device is, making it a worthy choice for vacuuming both carpets and smooth surfaces. The eufy 11s delivers up to an astounding 1,300 Pa which is a 300-Pa upgrade from the other RoboVac models (the 11 and the 11+).

EcoVacs Deebot N79S
The Deebot N79S robot vacuum cleaner offers up to 1,000 Pa on its most power-draining cleaning mode. On average, you’ll find Pa ratings for robot cleaners to be in the 800 to 1,000 range, putting this unit at the upper end of average suction power. The EcoVacs N79S will work wonderfully on all sorts of debris – from microscopic dust and dander to stray pet hair to cereal.

Conclusion
Since bigger is better, we prefer the eufy’s 1,300 Pa suction power more than the EcoVacs’ 1,000 Pa. There’s not much of a difference between both of these units regarding cleaning performance, but what is noticeable is that the eufy’s suction power allows for fewer repeated passes over large-sized debris like dry pet food.

eufy vs EcoVacs

Noise Levels

eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S
As time goes on, robot vacuum cleaners are becoming increasingly quieter. This is good since we don’t want to hear a buzz in our ears whenever the robot enters our rooms, and we don’t want our pets to consider these round robots as an intruder. The eufy 11s (slim) produces only 55 decibels of noise – similar to home-conservation noise levels.

Ecovacs Deebot N79S vs Roomba 690: Robot Vacuum Comparison

EcoVacs Deebot N79S
The EcoVacs produces between 65 and 70 decibels of noise, depending on which vacuum mode is active. This is about as loud as some of the quietest stick vacuum cleaners available. In our opinion, it’s not excessively loud, but it can get annoying rather quickly when running cleaning cycles for extended periods of time.

eufy 11S vs Deebot N79S

Conclusion
There is a considerable difference in noise production between the two robot vacuum models. We prefer the eufy’s quieter performance while still keeping our floors free of debris. This isn’t to say that the EcoVacs will cause your ears to bleed, but it can be disruptive when running for more than 10 minutes in a single room.

eufy 11S vs EcoVacs N79S: Bottom Line

There are several overlapping specs that we discussed and left out in this article (at least 100 minutes of runtime, similar heights, and remote controllability). However, a quick glance at their differing specs tells us, personally, that the eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S is the better choice between the two models.

The EcoVacs Deebot N79S isn’t a bad unit, but the performance of the eufy outclasses that of the EcoVacs. What we like best about the eufy 11S is that its super-quiet and offer more suction power than the EcoVacs. What we love about the EcoVacs, however, is its ability to accept commands from the user via the Smartphone app and Wi-Fi connectivity, giving the user full control while at work or traveling.
