The TurboClean sports a PowerBrush Roll that is studded with four rows of stiff bristles that work exceptionally well at digging deep into carpet fibers, striking old set-in stains, and removing them permanently.

It has a 7.5-inch cleaning width that improves maneuverability around obstacles while also delivering more concentrated suction to remove greater quantities of moisture.

On the TurboClean, you’ll find that it sports a dual water tank system that separates dirty, suctioned water from your cleaning solution. Such a system prevents the tool from saturating your carpets with dirty water, which translates into less time spent on cleaning carpets.

The tanks have a collective capacity of 5/8 of a gallon, so it might take homeowners more than a single tankful of water to clean their entire carpet.

Pet owners will love how the TurboClean comes with a detachable nozzle that gives easier access to the PowerBrush. By removing the nozzle, you can snip away tangled pet hair and rinse the bristles free of debris.

According to users, the ProHeat can leave floors virtually dry to the touch after a single drying pass.

One of the features that makes this carpet cleaner stand out is HeatWave Technology. With HeatWave, the clean water remains several degrees warmer than room temperature, delivering enhanced stain-dissolving power until the very last drop.

However, please note that HeatWave is not a boiling element, and that you should turn this feature off when cleaning urine stains from carpets.

The ProHeat’s DirtLifter PowerBrush comes with six rows of ultra-stiff bristles that deliver swipe after swipe of high-speed, consistent cleaning capabilities. The stiff bristles dig past the fibers to remove set-in messes from the roots of your carpet, ensuring quick and permanent stain removal performance in as few passes as possible.

If you thought four or six rows of stiff-bristled brushes were impressive, you ain’t seen nothing yet. The JetScrub has ten rows of brushes to provide quicker swipes into carpet fibers, eliminating set-in stains more efficiently.

The XL Dirt-Lifter PowerBrush proves more than capable of removing old pet stains and spills from carpets and rug areas while also using less water.

The JetScrub has two cleaning modes—deep clean to attack the deepest stains from shaggy surfaces, and express clean for freshly made stains. According to Bissell, express mode requires just 30 minutes of drying before the newly washed area is as dry as a bone.

There’s also an on-demand spray button—the CleanShot Pretreater—that lets you control how much or how little cleaning solution to use on your carpets. Switching between cleaning modes is as easy as pushing buttons on the handle.

Bright LEDs on the floorhead illuminate dark spaces, including underneath furniture, which the JetScrub can clean thanks to its low-profile floorhead and the handle’s ability to law horizontally against the floor.

The handle is collapsible to make transporting and storing the carpet cleaner a lot easier and more space-efficient.

Because it’s a lightweight, compact model, the JetScrub doesn’t come with very many add-ons. There is no long suction hose with cleaning tools to remove stains from above-floor surfaces.

However, the nozzle can be removed to clean the brush roll in between cleaning sessions to prevent cross-contamination. Plus, it features a half-gallon tank that not only keeps the weight down but also makes it easier to maneuver around furniture.

Bissell Revolution 1986

Alas, we come to the Revolution 1986, arguably the most powerful upright carpet cleaner to come from Bissell. This unit sports a Dual DirtLifter Brush Roll that’s equipped with a dozen rows of stiff bristles.

By now, you should know that more rows means enhanced and more efficient deep cleaning to eliminate stains and odors.

Like the JetScrub, this model has an express clean mode that leaves carpets dry to the touch in just 30 minutes. However, there’s also a MAX mode, which blasts more water and cleaning solution into your carpets to loosen the toughest stains imaginable.

If you have pets, you definitely know what we mean here. On the side of the floorhead is a CleanShot Pretreater nozzle that shoots out a concentrated jet of your carpet shampoo of choice.

The Revolution relies on the same dual-tank system, but they have a collective capacity of one gallon. More water means more cleaning coverage, though it also adds to the overall weight of the device.

On an empty tank, the Revolution weighs slightly under 18 pounds, which is far from being the lightest carpet cleaner on the market.
