Even with the rising popularity of robots, traditional upright vacuum cleaners aren’t going anywhere. As far as upright vacuums go, Bissell remains one of the top-viewed manufacturers of homeowner and pet-friendly vacuums.
Today, we’re going to take an in-depth look at one of Bissell’s more feature-packed uprights—the Cleanview Rewind Pet Deluxe 24899. Read our review to see whether this upright is the right fit for your floors.

Triple-Action Brush Roll
You might be interested to learn that the Cleanview’s brush roll attacks floors with a three-pronged attack. The triple-action brush roll can loosen, lift, and remove everything from embedded pet hair to surface crumbs.
The double-helix-style brush is made to be as tangle-free as possible. If long strands of hair do clog the bristles and the suction inlet, a quick snip with a pair of scissors is all it takes to clear it back up.
Multi-Cyclonic Suction + Multi-Tiered Filtration System
The Cleanview’s shining feature is the multi-cyclonic suction system. Every speck of dust and strand of hair that enters the vacuum’s inlet remains airborne inside of the transparent tank.

This system keeps the suctioned contaminants from blocking the inlet and filters for a no-suction-loss experience. Speaking of filters, the Cleanview has two of them—a basic washable filter and a multi-level filter that stays unclogged for much longer than in its predecessor models.
Scatter-Free, Edge-to-Edge Floorhead
Another awesome feature in the Cleanview is the design of its floorhead. The floorhead leaves very little room between its sides and the ends of the brush roll, allowing you to get as close to the edges of walls as possible.
In addition, the design helps in ensuring that a minimal amount of air escapes from the Cleanview’s clutches. This means less dust goes airborne and settles on shelves and furniture.
1-Liter Easy-Empty Dirt Tank
With a 1-liter (quarter-gallon) dust cup, the Cleanview can hold dust and hair after multiple cleaning sessions. The less frequently you need to empty out the transparent dust cup, the less of a chance the collect dirt will spill back onto your floor.

However, thanks to the Easy-Empty system, you can empty out the dust cup in one quick press of a button. This system also makes it easier to fish out the washable filter when it becomes gunked up.
Specialized Pet Tools
Shoppers will undoubtedly appreciate the number of specialized pet tools that come with the Cleanview. First, you’ll get an 8-foot extendable hose to help you reach debris on upholstery, shelves, and even ceilings.
Next, you can connect one of four awesome spot-cleaning tools—a standard crevice and dusting brush, as well as a Pet TurboEraser Tool and a Pet Hair Corner Tool to remove embedded pet hair from soft surfaces.

Automatic Cord Rewind
Another nifty feature that you’ll find in the Cleanview is its automatic power cord rewind. The power cord measure 27 feet long, which would be a hassle to manually wrap up and hang on a hook.
Thankfully, with the Bissell Cleanview 24899, all you need to do is depress a button, which will send the power cord reeling back inside of the vacuum cleaner.
