Levoit being one of the more reliable and consistent air purifier makers out there, choosing a bad model is nearly impossible. However, choosing an unfitting model for your home, in terms of coverage capacity and convenience, is a different issue.
That’s why we want to show you three different Levoit air purifiers—the Vecync Core 200S, 300S, and 400S—to help you determine which of them will work best in your home, apartment, or office.
Levoit Smart Air Purifier Comparison Table
Levoit VeSync Core 200S
The Core 200S model is the smallest of the VeSync series. It only has a coverage capacity of 183 square feet to produce 1 air change per hour (ACH), so it belongs in confined spaces like your bedroom home office, or hobby room.
This isn’t a unit that’ll reach multiple rooms simultaneously, even in standard apartments.
Like the other models in the VeSync series, the Core 200S uses a triple-tier filtration system to remove most particles in the air.
It starts with a nylon pre-filter to trap pet hair and dust, an H13-grade HEPA Filter that captures 0.3-micron particles and larger up to 99.97% of the time, and an activated carbon filter to remove foul odors.
But how well does it clean? From a technical standpoint, with CADR ratings of 118 CFM across the board (smoke, pollen, and dander), it’s not the most powerful, most efficient air purifier by any means, even by Levoit’s standards.
One might expect the tiniest Levoit to be on the feature-less end of the spectrum, but you’d be wrong.

This unit can connect to your smartphone via the VeSync app, which allows you to turn the unit on and off, change fan speeds, and even check the filter’s remaining life.
You’ll want to utilize filter status reports to schedule when to replace the triple-action filters (sold separately).

Levoit VeSync Core 300S
Surprisingly, the Core 300S is actually the hardest-working of the three VeSync models in this comparison. It has a maximum effective range of about 219 square feet to produce up to 5 ACH. By that standard, to get a 1-ACH rating, the Core 300S can work just as effectively as the Core 200S but in rooms of up to 1,095 square feet, making it nearly five times stronger.
In terms of effectiveness, the Core 300S can handle polluted rooms just as well as beefier models. It maintains 141-CFM CADR ratings in all three categories, making it ideal for placement in smaller rooms.
It can do this with the help of the Levoit’s triple-tier filtration setup (identical to the Core 200S’s) and an ultra-powerful fan.
But what separates the Core 300S from its small-brother version is the new dust sensor, known as AIRSIGHT Plus. This unit uses a specialized laser that constantly monitors for invisible airborne particles.
After reaching a certain pollution level, the Core 300S’s motor will kick into gear, automatically choosing the most appropriate fan speed. AIRSIGHT Plus keeps you in the loop using color-coded LEDs that correspond with indoor pollution levels.
As a VeSync model, you’ll also gain access to all maintenance and status reports via the VeSync app.

Levoit VeSync Core 400S
Last but certainly not least is the Core 400S model, belonging to the same VeSync family. We don’t have to tell you that you can gain remote access to your Core 400S via the smartphone app, do we? What we neglected to mention until now is that all three VeSync models have voice support via an Alexa or Assistant device, so you can change between fan speeds and activate auto-cleaning mode just by shouting at your smart speaker.
But what you might want to know is that this unit’s effective cleaning range is about 403 square feet to produce 5 ACH, which is truly an incredible feat. Not only that, but it reaches CADR ratings of around 260 CFM, making it one of the most top-performing air purifiers in this current market.
Like the Core 300S, this unit has a built-in sensor that syncs triggers the motor to start and stop automatically, depending on indoor air quality. It utilizes the same laser-based PM 2.5 sensor that measures particle density with near-100% precision.
Similar to the Core 300S, this unit comes with a color-coded ring that informs you of the state of indoor air quality—blue for very good, green for good, orange for fair, and red for bad.
Additional features found in the Core 400S aren’t unlike those you’d typically get in competing models. For instance, the Core 400S, as well as the Core 200S and 300S, come with timers and child lock systems.
