Honeywell is a brand that has been around for many, many years. They have cemented themselves as a high-quality manufacturer when it comes to every one of the many different product lines that they offer, whether it’s portable air conditioners or air purifiers, they deliver quality.
In this article, we’re going to be looking at four Honeywell air purifiers, each one part of the “AirGenius” product line.
Honeywell HFD300 AirGenius 3 AirCleaner
The AirGenius 3 AirCleaner is an air purifier meant for larger rooms. Rooms that are around 225 square feet.
With this air purifier, there are three distinct modes that you can choose from:
– Sleep
– General Clean
– Max
Using the “Sleep” mode, the air is purified, but it’s quiet, less power, and it uses less electricity. This makes it easy to fall asleep while your air is being cleaned.
As you can imagine “General Clean” is a very basic mode that you can use throughout the day. It makes a bit of noise, but it’s powerful, and it works really well and serves its main function – that of cleaning your air – wonderfully.
Finally “Max” is the highest mode, and this mode produces the most noise, but it’s also the most powerful mode of all. It enables you to more thoroughly get rid of odors, nasty scents, tobacco smoke, among other things.

Honeywell Kaz AirGenius 4 Air Purifier
This AirGenius 4 model has something known as “QuietClean” technology which is a filtering technology that, according to the marketing, removes up to 99.9% of particles from the air. Particles that form the basis of things like odors, gases, dust, and even viruses that can lead to sickness.
The Honeywell Kaz AirGenius 4 Air Purifier has been designed for rooms that are up to 250 square feet, which isn’t too much larger than the previous model.
However, instead of having three operating modes, you now have four operating modes:
– Sleep
– General
– Allergen
– Max
Sleep mode, General mode, and Max mode are the same modes that the previous models offer, but Allergen mode is especially useful if you have a cold or are currently sick, because it targets the allergens and bacteria in the air, filtering them out, and reducing the risk of illness and sickness. This will lessen the symptoms if you are already sick.
Honeywell AirGenius 5 Air Cleaner
The Honeywell AirGenius 5 Air Cleaner is very similar to the Honeywell Kaz AirGenius 4 Air Purifier. It has the same “QuietClean” technology, and it works with rooms that are up to 250 square feet.
The two biggest differences consist of the inclusion of a touch-screen, which is a nice convenient addition to Honeywell’s air purifiers, enabling you to access the different filtration modes with, quite literally, the press of a single button.
Now, you have five-modes;
– Sleep mode
– Germ mode
– Allergen mode
– General mode
– Max mode
These are similar to the modes offered by the previous models, but with Germ mode – the new mode that this air purifier offers – you have a greater emphasis on using the air purifier to filter out specific germs and bacteria. If you are sick or find yourself sick on a fairly consistent basis, this is a good mode to use because it will filter and cleanse your air, making it less likely that you’ll get sick.

Honeywell Bluetooth Smart AirGenius 6 Air Cleaner
Finally, we come to the Honeywell Bluetooth Smart AirGenius 6 Air Cleaner. This is by far the most advanced model on our list, and it includes Bluetooth functionality that enables you to wirelessly control it and access the data that it produces.
As for the filtration, just like several of the previous models, it captures 99.9% of the particles – particles such as pollen, pet dander, and smoke, for example – that are in the air, eradicating odors, gases, and nasty bacteria, among other things.
You have a washable filter, which is unique to this particular model and is incredibly convenient, not to mention money-saving.
Using the Bluetooth application, you have access to quite a bit of data. Including things like the quality of your air, allergen indicators, reminders for when you need to change/wash your filters. You also have options for scheduling, allowing you to automate those processes, just as you would using a robot vacuum or any other “smart” device. These features easily make this the most convenient device on the list, and one to take note of if you want something that can easily automate these processes.
