Although the Shark Navigator NV360 may look like any old upright vacuum cleaner, there’s actually a lot more to it than meets the eye. When you get down to it, Shark has done it again with the Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360. With a sleek design, a weight of only 12.5-pounds, and some very effective vacuuming technology, this lift-away vacuum offers a fantastic vacuuming experience. This experience, however, does come at a slightly-high price. But, if you can look past that high-price, you’ll be rewarded with a lift-away vacuum from Shark that is truly one of the best that money can buy.

Over 20-kPa Suction with Beater Brushroll
The first and main thing you should know about the NV360 is that it’s an amazingly powerful upright vacuum cleaner. Equipped with a 10-amp motor, this mega-behemoth can deliver over 20 kPa of suction at any time for maximum cleaning performance.
After running this upright over shaggy area rugs, we found that its overly powerful suction tends to pull at the rug, so we’d recommend sticking to one of the spot-cleaning tools for high-pile carpets and rugs.
Inside of the floorhead is a stiff-bristle beater brushroll that reaches deep inside of carpet fibers and in between floorboards and tiles to extract every hidden speck of dust. The height of the brushroll is non-adjustable so it’s always in contact with the floor, but the good news is that it doesn’t leave scratches.
Anti-Allergen Seal + True HEPA Filter
The NV360 is also a highly pet-friendly upright that comes with all of the anti-allergen features needed to ensure perfect vacuuming results every time. The entire unit, from its dust cup to the motor, is protected by an anti-allergen seal that prevents suctioned debris from exiting through the exhaust vent.
And then there’s the True HEPA Filter that’s designed specifically to trap the tiniest particles possible. With an effectiveness of 99.97% at trapping dust 0.3 microns and larger, pet hair, dander, dust mites, and mold spores have no hope of making it past the filter and going airborne.
12.5 pounds on Upright Mode
What’s even more amazing is that the NV60, despite having a humungous motor (by upright vacuum standards) and sizable dust cup (more on this in a bit), the entire unit weighs a mere 12.5 pounds.
Needless to say, lifting and moving the NV360 up and down stairs shouldn’t be a problem, but if you need to do a bit of overhead vacuuming…
7.5-pound Lift-Away Handheld Canister
…you can instantly turn this upright into a handheld canister vacuum. The NV360 is a Lift-Away upright by Shark, meaning that the canister dust cup module can detach from the handle and be carried around to simplify overhead cleaning.
The quick-release handle is then used as a wand where the cleaning tools connect. On Lift-Away mode, the weight of the NV360 drops toa feather-like 7.5 pounds.
Crevice Tool and Upholstery Tool
While using the NV360 on Lift-Away mode, you have access to an additional two cleaning tools: a crevice tool and an upholstery tool. These are pretty basic and should help at removing all debris hiding in hard-to-reach surfaces.

1.2-quart XL Dust Cup
To make tedious vacuuming jobs easier on the user, Shark installed an XL dust cup onto the NV360 with 1.2 quarts of storage. The large dust cup allows you to vacuum for longer and with fewer interruption while working.
The dust cup, on average, can store multiple vacuuming sessions’ worth of debris before nearing max capacity.
Swivel Steering
Everything about the NV360 is designed to make it easier on the user, including swivel steering. The floorhead twists and turns with the slightest touch, giving users full control over where to vacuum.
The swiveling neck also lets you push the handle downward until it’s almost touching the floor—this feature lets you poke the floorhead beneath low-hanging furniture without a ton of pre-vacuum prep.
25-foot Power Cable
We can’t neglect to mention that the NV360 comes with a long 25-foot power cord. This is generally considered the ideal length to make vacuuming easy on the user.
Plus, without an auto-retract system, 25 feet of power cord is pretty easy to wrap around the onboard storage hooks.
Verdict: Should I Get the Shark Navigator Lift-Away NV360?
If you feel the need to vacuum frequently but don’t like the thought of lugging around a heavy upright, then the Shark NV360 is definitely a great upright for you.
Not only is it lightweight, but it also delivers quite a punch to suction away every scrap of tiny debris hiding in carpets and in between floorboards.
The magic sauce is the Lift-Away canister module that makes spot-cleaning above-ground surfaces even easier than pulling on long suction hoses.
