Agri-Fab 45-0320
44-inch Sweeping Width
One of the most important things to take into account when shopping for a lawn sweeper is how wide it is. A wider lawns weeper will be more efficient at picking up lawn debris and ultimately complete its task in fewer sweeps, but it will also require a heavier-duty lawn tractor to tow it around. The 45-0320 is in the middle ground between the other two models with a sweeping width of 44 inches.
25-cubic-foot Hopper
Next is the size of the hopper or how many cubic feet of debris the hopper can hold before reaching max capacity. This unit’s hopper has the capacity to hold onto 25 cubic feet of leaves, twigs, and other lawn debris before needing to be emptied out. Surprisingly, this is almost as large as the 45-0546’s hopper despite having a drastically narrower sweeping width.

With any of the three lawn sweepers here, dumping out the heavy contents of the hopper has never been easier. From the seat of your lawn tractor, you simply need to pull on the dumping rope that flips the hopper upside-down, sending the contents cascading downward onto a compost heap or designated dump area. No heavy lifting required!
Agri-Fab 45-0492
42-inch Path
Th 45-0492 is only slighter narrower than the previous lawn sweeper model, so even though it will technically require more passes to complete picking up debris in identical lawns, the difference is almost negligible. The benefit of losing two inches is that the unit is significantly lighter (73 pounds compared to the 45-0320’s 95-pound build).
20-cubic-foot Capacity
As you might expect, the 45-0492 comes with the smallest hopper of the bunch. Measuring at “only” 20 cubic feet, it’ll require frequent emptying quite possibly multiple times before your entire lawn has been swept clean. The sweeping width to hopper size ratio, if this were a thing, would indicate that of the three Agri-Fab lawn sweepers here, this unit would fill up nearly 50% quicker than the previous model.
Universal Fit Hitch
All three of these Agri-fab lawn sweepers come with a universal hitch that makes them compatible with any lawn tractor made of any brand. They should also fit onto the hitch of lawn tractors you’ve inherited from your great-great-grandparents without any issues.
Agri-Fab 45-0546
52-inch Path
As the largest of the three, the 45-0546 is able to clear humungous lawns of debris in more efficiently. What’s odd is that even though it is eight inches wider than the first model, its hopper capacity only holds onto one cubic foot more.
In the end, because it picks more debris in less time, it requires emptying out nearly as frequently as the other two. What makes this (and the 45-0320) even more impressive is that they can attach to the backside of a riding mower by connect it to an offset hitch.
6x 10-inch Brushes
The number of brushes used to lift debris from the ground and toss it into the hopper also plays a role in how efficient the lawn sweeper is. This model uses six 10-inch brushes placed evenly apart to maximize sweeping efficiency and reduce the need for multiple passes over the same area.
In comparison, the other two models come with four 12-inch brushes, but they are also much narrower than this tool.
Height Control
Any good lawn sweeper should have adjustable brush height settings. Being able to bring the brushes up or down will give users full control over the sort of debris they’re removing while also saving the brushes from a lifetime of abrasion.
This model does not have height presets but rather an infinite number of settings based on where you set the height-adjusting lever.
Verdict: Which Agri-Fab Lawn Sweeper Should I Get?
There are two main considerations you need to make. First, how large of a lawn sweeper do you need? A larger lawn sweeper will finish the job in fewer passes, but if you have multiple tractors working at once, packs of two or more 42- or 44-inch lawn sweepers might be the more cost-effective solution.
