Backpack vacuum cleaners are generally considered to be the more specialized cleaning tools for commercial settings but using one at home is definitely not out of the question. If you’re looking for a powerful backpack vac, might we consider checking out the ProTeam 107119? This ultra-versatile cleaning machine will make any vacuuming task go by in a painless, effortless breeze.
9.9-amp Motor
This ProTeam backpack vacuum cleaner is packing some serious heat. It sports a heavy-duty 9.9-amp motor that produces a maximum airflow of 150 CFM. Although this is far from hurricane-like suction, it’s more than enough to remove debris from smooth floors, grout lines, and even medium-pile carpets.
Comfort-Fit Harness
Backpack vacuums are notorious for being uncomfortable to for two main reasons: their harnesses and exhaust port. However, ProTeam has designed this backpack model with maximum levels of comfort in mind. The harness comes with thick padding that doesn’t dig into your shoulders, and the back cover is made of an open-weave fabric to dissipate heat even quicker, leaving you less sweaty after a long vacuuming session.
What’s even more amazing about the harness is the hip strap, or rather you can do with it. The hip strap doesn’t just keep the unit upright on your back, but it also has several loops to hold onto the multitude of cleaning tools it comes with (more on this in a later section). Everything you need to vacuum your floors and ceilings is just an arm’s length away at all times.
11-pound Design
Of course, it won’t matter whether the harness is comfortable to wear if the tool itself weighs a ton. Thankfully, the ProTeam doesn’t—on an empty dust bag, it weighs a measly 11 pounds which shouldn’t affect the user’s mobility when carrying it around. There are lighter backpack vacuum cleaners out there (such as the Hoover C2401), but it can’t store nearly as much debris as this badboy.
4-Tier Filtration with HEPA Media
Vacuum cleaners are only as good as their filters, and we’re happy to report that the ProTeam’s multi-level filtration system makes this an ultra-reliable tool. With four filters made of HEPA media to prevent debris as small as 0.3 microns from passing through, you won’t need to concern yourselves over leakages or dust shooting out of the exhaust and landing back onto your floors. And we haven’t even gotten into how awesome the filter bags are!
Micro-Filter Bags
The ProTeam uses disposable 10-quart micro-filter bags to store all suctioned debris. This bagged system makes cleanup easier and less prone to spillage, although it does mean you’ll need to purchase more bags over time. We would have been more comfortable with an environmentally friendly bagless system like what the Hoover C2401 has going on, but as is, there’s definitely no after-cleaning fuss.
7-piece Cleaning Tool Kit
Let’s spend a few moments glorifying the amazing set of cleaning tools that comes with the ProTeam. The vacuum’s main floor-cleaning weapon is the 14-inch Xover Floor Tool—a brushroll-less vacuum head that makes use out of the 150-CFM airflow generated by the hefty motor.
Without brushes, it won’t be able to deep-clean shaggy carpets, although it excels at picking up surface debris from low- and medium-pile carpets, let alone sealed hard floors. The remaining cleaning accessories include a 17-inch crevice tool, a 5-inch upholstery tool, a 3-inch dusting brush, a 48-inch flexible suction hose, a telescoping wand, and two micro-fiber dirt collection bags.
66-dBa Noise Output
If you’re looking for a quiet backpack vacuum cleaner, then you’ll have to look elsewhere. The ProTeam generates a constant 66-dBa of noise while the motor is running which, by vacuum cleaner standards, isn’t all that loud. Wearing earphones and playing music while you work will help drown the annoying buzz somewhat.
50-foot Power Cord
An ultra-convenient vacuum cleaner comes with an ultra-long power cord. The ProTeam’s cord measures in at 50 feet or roughly twice the length of a “long-corded” upright vac. Whether you’re planning on wearing this backpack in commercial warehouses or at home, the mega-long power cord will allow you to clean wide areas and even multiple rooms with fewer interruptions. Basically, you’ll spent less time cleaning a wide radius from every wall outlet.

Verdict: Should I Get the ProTeam 107119?
As you can see, the ProTeam basically has it all—a powerful motor, lots of storage space for dust, several handy cleaning tools, and a 50-foot cord. The only minor complaint we have is that this backpack is a bagged vacuum cleaner so you’ll have to take replacement bag costs into account. With that aside, we feel that anybody in commercial and residential settings would benefit from this behemoth of a vacuum.
