Cordless vacuum cleaners come in all shapes and sizes. Many of them are lightweight enough to lift, and others have detachable wands to make spot-cleaning a breeze. The ORFELD CX11 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has it all and a powerful motor to boot. Read our review of the ORFELD CX11 and see whether it’s the right cordless vacuum cleaner for your floors.
22-KPa Suction Power
One of the first things you should look for in a cordless vacuum cleaner is how powerful its motor is. The CX11 sports a 200W brushless motor that provides up to 22 KPa of suction power on its higher speed setting. Its Eco Mode suctions at a rate of 9 KPa, which, by cordless stick vac standards, isn’t bad at all.
The CX11 is marketed as a pet-friendly stick vac, and you’ll learn why as you continue reading. For now, let’s just say that it can do more than just remove embedded fur from carpet and upholstery.
2-in-1 Brush Roll
Inside of the CX11’s floorhead, you’ll find a 2-in-1 brush roll that works beautifully at cleaning both carpeted and bare surfaces. The stiff bristles provide delicate cleaning performance on bare floors, while they’re also long enough to dig into carpet fibers to dislodge all sorts of stuck-in debris.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to deactivate the brush roll when transitioning from carpets to bare floors and back. However, from user reports, the CX11’s bristles don’t’ mar floorboards, vinyl, or tiles in the slightest.
45-Minute Runtime
The CX11 comes with a pretty hefty battery that provides as much as 45 minutes of continuous cleaning on Eco Mode. When you kick it up to Turbo Mode, you’re only going to get about 10 minutes of cleaning done before the CX11 needs to rest in its charger for 2-3 hours.
But that’s not even the best part. If you purchase additional ORFELD battery packs, you can extend the runtime even further by removing the empty battery and replacing it with a fresh one. The battery clicks into place before driving the motor and high-speed brush roll.
4-in1 Versatility
ORFELD kind of went overboard by calling the CX11 a 4-in-1 stick vac. In reality, it’s a 2-in-1, but that’s not a bad thing at all. The CX11 converts from a long stick vacuum into a stubby handheld unit that uses any of the included attachments—including the floorhead—to clean any above-ground surface you can think of.
There’s nothing too spectacular about the cleaning tools (the combination tool and the sofa tool), but they do make vacuuming vents, drapes, ceilings, and upholstery a breeze.
Washable HEPA Filter
The perfect pet-friendly cordless vacuum cleaner should come with a HEPA filter, which the CX11 does. The HEPA filter traps up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, meaning most common allergens (pollen, dander, dust, and dust mites) have no hope of escaping the fine-mesh clutches. It’s also washable and lasts for up to four months before needing to be replaced.
Verdict: Is the ORFELD CX11 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Any Good?
The ORFELD CX11 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is undoubtedly one of the most powerful cordless vacuum cleaners you can find today. With 22 KPa of suction power and a max runtime of 45 minutes per charge (extendable with additional battery packs), cereal, pet food, and pet hair all get sucked into the CX11’s dustbin with no hope of escape.
