Why rent when you can own? Carpet cleaner rentals are a pain to transport from the store to your home and back again. They’re also extremely heavy and no matter what, they always manage to leave water trails on the floor.

Bissell makes a carpet cleaner that’s one-third the weight of those you rent from the grocery store. The ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet features separated water tanks, two brushrolls and quick-drying Heatwave technology. If you own pets, you’ll love the extension hose and the stain-removal hand tool.

Unlike those clunky rentals, the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet is ultra-lightweight. At just 18 pounds, the upright carpet cleaner is light enough for anyone to use, and most people can carry them up the stairs without assistance.

The full-size Bissell carpet cleaner also has a low-profile floor head that maneuvers under furniture with ease. While you’re cleaning your carpets, the handle’s D-shaped design provides the ergonomic comfort you need to make it through extended cleaning sessions.

Regardless of your carpet’s pile height, the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet can lift and remove the dirt that’s buried under the nap. The carpet cleaner features a pair of rotating brushrolls in its removable nozzle. Each brushroll is equipped with six wavy rows of lengthy bristles that are tough enough to lift stubborn stains from wall-to-wall carpet yet gentle enough to clean spots from delicate area rugs.

In addition to the DirtLifter Power Brushes, the carpet cleaner also has two edge-sweep brushes that bring the Bissell’s total cleaning path to 11 inches. While you’re using the upright, you can monitor the color of the water through the brushroll window, so you’ll know when your carpet is clean.

Deep clean is ideal for thorough, periodic carpet maintenance. However, some messes require more power than others. When put on max clean, the Bissell upright can remove concentrated, set-in dirt and stains. Max mode has an 8-hour dry time.

Express clean mode is the gentlest of the carpet cleaner’s mode, and it’s fantastic for quick touch-ups and pet messes. When set to express clean, the ProHeat Pet gets rid of surface-level dirt and pet hair, and it only takes 30 minutes for your carpet to dry.

You can stop and start the flow of soapy water with one quick motion by holding the squeeze trigger. When you’re ready to make a dry pass, simply let go of the trigger, and the carpet cleaner will stop releasing water.

The power switch to the entire upright is located midway down the side of the ProHeat Pet, and the cleaning-mode switch is on the other side. On the back of the carpet cleaner, there is a turn-hook that instantly unwinds the 22-foot-long power cord.

Inside the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet, a 6.8-amp motor operates the carpet cleaner’s major components, including its Heatwave mechanism. Thanks to Bissell’s Heatwave technology, the water stays warm throughout an entire cleaning session.

Bissell also integrated surround suction into the carpet cleaner’s host of features. Surround suction generates air pull around the front and the sides of the DirtLifter Power Brushes. With its all-encompassing suction, the upright cleaner dries carpets quickly, and it prevents water from dribbling onto the carpet.

Related Post: Affordable Carpet Cleaners

With the Bissell ProHeat Pet, you get two hand tools. One is suitable for tough stains like grape juice, and the other one is ideal for cleaning dog/cat bedding, stairs and upholstered furniture. Both tools are equipped with spray tips and stiff bristles.

To use either one, connect the 7-foot flexible hose to the dedicated port on the floor head and secure the tool to the other end of the hose. Press the on-tool trigger to spray water and release it when you’re ready to dry the area. Bissell throws in a drawstring bag that you can use to store both tools.

Related Bissell Carpet Cleaner Articles As opposed to a single tank with a partition, Bissell used two totally separate tanks to ensure dirt doesn’t contaminate the clean water. The tanks are stacked, which reduces the carpet cleaner’s width. With its 1 gallon capacity, one fill-up can clean all the carpets in your house.

Removing and refilling the reservoir is easy – just lift it and fill to the soap and water lines. To remove the dirty-water tank, press down on the handle and pull out the tank. A rubber tab keeps the water contained until you dump it, and a float stack eliminates the possibility of overflows.

Lightweight With a Low Profile
