The Urpower MH501 Humidifier is a mid-level, if not entry-level, humidifier. It’s a case-study mixture of cheap industrial design that is nevertheless dandified with a few redeeming features.
Though it isn’t ETL-approved, the device happens to have a self-reading function that shuts it off whenever it runs out of water or when electrostatic entropy builds up. It’s extremely easy to operate. One-buttoned, all you need to do is literally press a single button and voilà, you have a humidified atmosphere to enjoy and bask in.

14” in height and 8.26” in width, you can place it just about anywhere you want to. Its black matte design has universal applicability, and it’s unlikely to collide with the rest of your interior. In fact, it will serve as a decent subsidiary décor to just about any environment, casual or formal. The URPOWER is practically disguised by its sublime appearance, and if it does draw unwarranted attention, the attention will certainly be positive.
At nighttime, the light that glows out of it has an intimate and familiar touch, and it adds a flair of home-bound nostalgia to the device. If you’re one of these people who like a singular utility, you’ll find it rather agreeable that the humidifier isn’t all gleaming and shiny and its LED light isn’t overly obtrusive.
Work Flow and Capacity
5L-sized, this beast-of-a-humidifier can run for up to 17 hours and produce mist for up to an entire day. In dry, serrate climate, URPOWER inserts a breath of mellow liquidity into the air, giving an unmistakable, invigorating freshness that makes respiration a whole new experience altogether.
When it’s summer and greater heat graces the outside world, the cool mist injects the air’s envelope with a dulcet and frigid resonance.
To achieve the best possible mist, make sure that you don’t fill the humidifier up to the brim. Fill it only up to base level. With three different modes of mist dispersion, you can regulate the mist’s production at any time, increasing and decreasing the mist’s thickness to generate your preferred output of vaporization.
It keeps going on while you’re asleep, alternating sensibly in its moisturizing procedures, shutting-off (and re-powering itself) in synchronicity with its internal meter.

Though the URPOWER MH501 Humidifier doesn’t have a humidistat to help it with hygrometric quantification, its auto shutoff mechanism knows just when it’s out of water, so the device will never short-circuit on you or stop working unexpectedly. As the humidifier also happens to be condensation-free, it will save you the wasted time of mopping the floorboard and soaking liquids with a wet towel.
Things We Disliked About the URPOWER
Minuses of this device include the fact its flask and reservoir are polymer-made so they require extra shutting and leakages are always a tangible possibility. What more, if you subscribe to scientific theories about the harmful contents of semisynthetic fabrics, inhaling the distillate formation of a liquid that simmered inside of a solid is controversial and it’s really counter-intuitive to get the URPOWER.
On the upside, however, URPOWER’s BPA-free, which meaning it won’t expulse resins, but one can always enter heated disputes about the merits and disfavors of cheap plastic design. Another significant minus is the misleadingly narrow-necked nozzle, for refilling it isn’t the easiest task and it requires holding the reservoir at a precise angle and possibly pouring liquid out of it if the recommended limit is exceeded.

URPOWER MH501: Final Words
The URPOWER is a compact, small-sized humidifier that doesn’t over-complicate things. Smoky and misty, you can alternate between heat and cold, which is perfect for tight-shut room and spaces. Unlike other humidifiers in the same category, the mist is visible and you can behold the device’s workflow in real-time.
Id est, it doesn’t feel like it actually does nothing when it’s running. Surprisingly enough, at lowest settings, it produces more visible phasic suspension than most higher-grade humidifiers out there. Definitely look into this device if you’re looking for a vapor-generating machine.
The URPOWER isn’t a purifier. Its sole intention is to humidify the air and not to cleanse it. With that being said, it has a sterilizing impact on the milieu, but it’s not a therapeutic-grade purifier or a contraption that’s made with salubrity and medicinal care in mind. If it achieves healthy effects, unfortunately, it’s not due to the inventor’s blueprint, but rather the chemistry of moisture.
On a 1-10 scale, we’ll give it a solid 7, because it does accomplish what it sets out to accomplish, but overall it’s rather plain, crude and minimalistic, and it’s a far shot away from blowing our minds. If, however, you’re looking for a humidifier that’ll shoot up and mist and saturate the air with dampness, this Urpower MH501 Humidifier will do just that for you.
