Cordless vacuum cleaners are all the rage, but do you know what trumps a basic cordless stick vac? That’s right—a cordless wet/dry vacuum cleaner! Take a look at our review of the Tineco Floor One S3, a wet/dry vacuum that doesn’t tether you down with annoying cords while also packing advanced features that place it a tier above the rest.
iLoop Smart Detection Technology
One of the first things Tineco wants you to know about the Floor One S3 is that it comes with iLoop Smart Detection Technology. This system consists of an array of sensors on the floorhead that detects the types of messes that lie ahead of the floorhead.
If there are any dry bits of debris, it’ll suction the mess up. If it picks up hints of wet spills, the Floor One S3 will automatically adjust its waterflow rate (between none and high), depending on how much it has to clean up.
1.1-Liter Tanks
The Floor One S3 is built with two water tanks—one for clean water and your detergent of choice, and another that stores dirty water. By keeping the two types of water separate, there’s virtually no risk of accidentally re-dirtying your floors by spraying bits of polluted water back out.
The clean water tank can hold onto 0.6 liters of water, while the dirty tank has a max capacity of 0.5 liters. On average, a single tank of clean water can clean more than 550 square feet.
Self-Propelled
Something you won’t find in most wet/dry vacs or stick vacs is a self-propelling system. The Floor One S3’s rears rotate slowly to help clean up messes more quickly than non-propelled models.
However, just be careful when pulling the tool backward as it might affect the self-propelling mechanism. According to some users, this is a feature that you never knew you needed until you’ve tried it.
35-Minute Runtime
As a cordless model, the Floor One S3 doesn’t keep you tied down to wall outlets, but it does have a limited runtime per charge.
A single charge can provide as much as 35 minutes of nonstop cleaning, which is slightly longer than most corded vacuums on the market. It takes roughly three hours for the non-removable battery back to reach max capacity.
All-in-One LED Display + App and Voice Support
All the information you need to know about your Floor One S3 is spoon-fed to you via the LED display. The display is located on the handle, which keeps you in the loop regarding how much battery power is left, which mode is currently active, and whether you need to replace the filter.
This wet/dry vacuum cleaner kit comes with two HEPA filters that can last for up to six months.
Alternatively, you can sync your Floor One S3 to your smartphone via the Tineco Life app to receive notifications regarding battery life and filter alerts. It also works with Alexa devices, though her range of command prompts is limited to maintenance issues.

Finally, we’d like to direct your gaze to the edge of the Floor One S3’s handle. There, you’ll find a button that you can depress while the tool is sitting in its floor dock.
Pressing the button starts the self-cleaning process, which automatically cleans the microfiber brush roll of hair and debris, preparing the vacuum for round two (after recharging, of course).
