Vacuum-mop combo tools have made cleaning floors a heck of a lot easier than it’s even been. Below, we’re going to compare two vacuum mops by Shark—the VM252 and the VM200P12—to see what each model has to offer.
Shark VM252
Powerful Suction
What you’ll find in this comparison is that the Shark VM252 and VM200P12 share many of the same specs and features. For instance, both of these vacuum mops come with powerful motors that provide a decent amount of suction to pick ultrafine to large debris in one quick pass.
12-oz Cleaning Solution Tank
As a mop, you’ll need somewhere to put your cleaning solution in. Thankfully, you don’t need to drag around a bucket wherever you go, at least if you have the VM252 or the VM200P12. Both of these vacuum mops come with a 12-oz tank that you can fill with your go-to mopping solution. Just detach it from the handle, fill it up, put it back, and get to work.
The tank is connected to a trigger on the handle that lets you dispense as much or as little cleaning solution as you want. That way, you won’t oversaturate your floors and end up with extremely soggy pads.
Comes with 4 Disposable Pads
Shark doesn’t leave you high and dry in terms of what sort of equipment you need. With the VM252, you’ll receive a pack of 4 disposable pads. Please note that they’re disposable, so you shouldn’t keep them around for more than one mopping session. After a single use, detach it and put on a new one.
Built-in LED Lights
Here’s where things get pretty interesting. The VM252 comes with LED headlamps that shine a bright light on your bare floors to illuminate any dust bunnies in the area. The headlamps turn on whenever you turn the vacuum on, so they don’t necessarily affect the tool’s battery life.

Magnetic Charger
While we’re on the topic of batteries, you should know how to recharge your vacuum mop when its 40-minute runtime is out. When its battery is depleted, simply connect the magnetic charger to the tool’s body, and wait about 3.5 hours for it to fully recharge. As for the VM200P12, it has a port where you plug the charger in.
- COMPLETE CLEAN: Powerful suction plus spray mopping - a complete clean in one...
- DISPOSABLE PADS: Disposable VACMOP Pads vacuum up what other pads push around.
Shark VM200P12
Comes with 12 Disposable Pads
Again, we’d like to remind you that the VM252 and the Shark VM200P12 are almost identical in every way. However, one area where they differ is how many disposable pads each tool comes with.
The VM200P12 comes with a pack of a dozen disposable pads, effectively giving you 3 times as much cleaning as the VM252.
Locks Away Debris
What you’ll notice is that neither the VM200P12 nor the VM252 come with XL dust collection tanks. Instead, all solid debris picked up by the vacuum mops’ motors are then stored within the disposable pad, safely locked away for easy disposal.
No-Touch Disposal
And when it comes to getting rid of the used-up mop pad, simply lift the tool over a trash can, and press the green button found on the floorhead to detach toss the pad out. This system keeps your fingers away from dirt at all times.
- COMPLETE CLEAN: Powerful suction plus spray mopping - a complete clean in one pad.
- 12 DISPOSABLE PADS: Disposable VACMOP Pads vacuum up what other pads push around.
