The Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus is pretty much the same as Ring Video Doorbell 3. It has the same video camera that can record 1080p resolution video but has a broader field of view area 160-degree horizontal and 84-degree vertical view.
The Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus also has a built-in microphone and loudspeaker, but unlike its predecessor, the Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus has noise cancellation technology to reduce environmental noises.
The Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus audio recording quality and audio playing quality is better than other Ring Video Doorbell versions. One stand-out feature of the Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus is its high-tech Pre-Roll feature that can record black and white footage that shows you what happens four seconds before the motion sensor is triggered.
Mind you that the Pre-Roll video is black and white and lower in resolution than the standard video, and it cannot record at night since it doesn’t come a night-vision feature.
The Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus also has the same motion sensors as other Ring Doorbell products, but another differentiating point is that you can customize how far the motion sensor pick up movement.

Basically, the only difference between the 3 and the Plus version is the Pre-Roll video feature, which can come in handy in certain situations.
