However, that doesn’t mean this is the “end all, be all” of pool cleaners. In today’s market, there are so many different choices and options available to us, no matter what it is that we are doing, that it can be hard to find the “right one.”

As you might expect, pool cleaners are no different. There are many of them, and finding the right one, the ideal one, can be a bit of a challenge, again, due to the sheer variety of options that are available.

Finding the right pool cleaner depends on the kind of pool that you are working with and the kinds of needs and desires that you have, with regards to things like “battery-life” and what kind of debris you’re going to be cleaning up.

What Are The Features Of This Pool & Spa Cleaner?

Right off the bat, you’ll notice that the battery is lithium powered. Some people are against lithium, due to the practices in which it is mined because they aren’t very friendly towards the environment. If that is a concern, then take note of that.

This is a lithium powered battery that has a maximum run-time of forty-five minutes when running on a single charge. Once the battery has run out, it takes four hours to recharge fully.

Cleaning Power

Now, four-hours is a fairly long chunk of time to do a full recharge. However, this device is capable of cleaning up to thirty-three gallons of water in just a single minute. If you were to spend forty-five minutes – which, again, is the max run-time on a single charge – cleaning your pool, that would be enough time to clean one-thousand four-hundred and eighty-five gallons of water.

In all likelihood, this probably isn’t enough time to do a full cleaning of your pool and/or spa – most backyard pools are around ten-thousand to eighteen-thousand gallons – but, it is more than enough time to clean specific areas in your pool and/or spa, that happen to be dirtier than the rest.

Simplicity and convenience, however, is the key here. That is the main feature of this device.

Compact & Lightweight

While it may not have the sheer speed or battery-life as some of the more high-end models that are on the market, the Water Tech Catfish Li Pool & Spa Cleaner is a very lightweight device that you can easily carry with one hand. You can also attach it to an extension pole if needed, and there is no need to have an assortment of hoses and tubes attached to the device.

Leaves and sand are commonly found in pools, and this device can clean them with incredible ease. It can also clean up the bacteria and germs that are often found in pools.

To contain all of the debris that you are cleaning up, the device comes with three bags. One of which is a big, bulky bag that is more than sufficient. The other two bags are small mesh bags meant for light debris.

Most of the time, though, this particular device is meant to be used for smaller jobs. It isn’t meant to replace any big piece of pool/spa cleaning machinery. Instead, it’s meant to be used for pools that are either smaller or just not very dirty. That isn’t to say that it can’t tackle bigger cleaning jobs, but it isn’t meant for that.

Much of this comes down to the size, which is smaller than most other devices, but, again, it has the advantage of being light and easy to grasp and maneuver. The other key reason that it works best with smaller cleaning jobs is that the battery life isn’t long enough.

Is This The Right Pool & Spa Cleaner For Me?

With that being said, though, the Catfish Li Pool Cleaner is a very convenient device, and convenience is the key factor here. If you have a smaller pool/spa and want something that can conveniently accommodate those needs, than this may be the right device for you

If you have a big pool and/or spa that you intend to clean, and you know it’s going to take more than forty-five minutes to clean it, and you don’t want to have to clean, wait four hours, and then clean some more, then this might not be the best option for you.
