Miele Blizzard CX1 Turbo vs. Electro vs. Cat & Dog

Bagless canister vacuums are incredibly convenient household appliances. While vacuums of the past required messy bags that often released dust back into the air, the new generation of bagless vacuums make cleaning your home and cleaning your vacuum a breeze. Home appliance brand Miele has a variety of products on the market that look similar but claim different specialties, so it can be hard to know how they stack up against one another.

Cleaning Power

The Miele Blizzard CX1 Turbo boasts a 1,200-W vortex motor that is meant to provide superior cleaning power. Special Vortex Technology and a turbo brush allow this vacuum to create strong suction power for an impressive clean every time. This vacuum is designed to tackle hard flooring as well as low to medium pile carpeting with ease.

The Miele Blizzard CX1 Electro also includes Miele’s impressive 1,200-W vortex motor, which uses Vortex Technology for increased cleaning power. This vacuum, however, also features a Seb228 electro+ power brush. This additional brush allows you to transition from hard floors, low pile carpet, and high pile carpet with no problems.

Just like its comparable models, the Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog has the same 1,200-W vortex motor. It also includes the same Seb228 electro+ power brush. The difference, however, is that this vacuum is only designed for low to medium pile carpeting as well as hardwood floors.

All of the Miele Blizzard vacuums are equipped with a powerful 1,200-W Vortex Motor with a maximum airflow of over 60 mph. This specially designed motor was designed to give all Miele Blizzard users an amazing cleaning performance. With that said, when it comes to comparing these vacuums, the Miele Blizzard CX1 Electro is the best all around. It can tackle the most versatile floor surfaces with ease.

Included Attachments

The Miele Blizzard CX1 Turbo has a variety of extra features that make it a highly desirable vacuum cleaner. Not only does it include a Parquet Twister floor brush designed to delicately clean your hard floors, it also features a dusting brush on the handle to take on the finest dust and debris. It comes complete with a crevice tool, upholstery tool, and dusting brush, all located conveniently in the handle. The Sbb parquet floor twister also protects your hard flooring.

While the Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog boasts that its hand-held Turbo Brush is perfect for picking up pet hair, this attachment is the same Turbo Brush that comes with Miele’s Blizzard CX1 Turbo. Just like the other models, it also has integrated crevice and upholstery nozzles as well as a separate dusting brush for fine debris around your home.

While the Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog and the Miele Blizzard CX1 Electro claim to have additional features that make them superior, all of them can also be found on the Miele Blizzard CX1 Turbo. When you consider that the Miele Blizzard CX1 Turbo has all of the same features and a much lower price, consumers are better off sticking with the Miele Blizzard CX1 Turbo.

Additional Features

  1. Unless I’m missing something the information here isn’t quite accurate. Doesn’t the CX1 Cat and Dog have an electric hose and vacuum head while the CX1 Turbo is strictly air driven? Thus making the attachments and accessories incompatible?
