If you want a mini washing machine that’s easy to use and can handle over 20 pounds of laundry per cycle, we highly recommend taking a look at KUPPET Compact Twin-Tub Portable Washing Machine. Take a look at our review of the KUPPET to see whether this twin-tub beast is the right choice for your home, apartment, dorm, or even RV.
Separate Washing and Drying Tubs
The KUPPET separates washing and drying functions based on which tub you place your clothes into. The larger tub on the left with a built-in agitator is for washing dirty clothes, whereas the smaller tub on the right spin-dries is solely for spin-drying sopping-wet clothes.
Something we’d like to point out about the drying tub is that it spins at a rate of up to 1300 RPM, which leaves clothes up to 80% dry in one spin. Drier clothes out of the spin tub means less time spent hanging on a clothesline.
26-Pound Collective Weight Load
KUPPET claims that this mini washing machine can handle a load of 26 pounds in one cycle. However, it’s important to note that with the twin-tub design, you’ll have to divide the collective weight capacity into the two tubs.
The washing tub can handle up to 18 pounds at once, while the drying tub is limited to just 8 pounds per load. The dryer has a maximum time setting of 5 minutes, so it’s possible to wash and dry one collective 26-pound load before moving onto the next.
Triple-Dial Control Panel
Speaking of settings, we’d like to direct your gaze toward the machine’s simplistic control panel. You’ll notice that it doesn’t use fancy LEDs or have a touchscreen.
Instead, the KUPPET relies on three dials that set the washing tub’s time (up to 15 minutes), the drying tub’s time (up to 5 minutes), and washing modes. You’ll need to fiddle with the washing-mode dial to control how gently or how roughly the pulsator spins based on clothing material and how stained your clothes are.
Transparent Lids
The KUPPET is a top-loaded portable washing machine that comes with two transparent lids, one for each of the tubs. The lids work independently from each other, meaning you can lift the washing tub’s lid without interrupting the dryer tub.
Please note that while the washing tub can continue to work regardless of the lid’s position, you’ll need to keep the dryer’s lid down as the tub spins.
Built-In Drain Pump
Don’t worry about propping your KUPPET twin-tub washing machine to level it with your bathroom sink. Inside is a built-in drain pump, that shoots dirty water from both tubs into a sink or the outdoors.
Quick-Connect Hose Needs Improvement
While we would love to say that the KUPPET portable washing machine is perfect in every way, that’s definitely not the case.
The main complaint people have about this portable washing machine is that the quick-connect adapter doesn’t fit snugly around standard bathroom faucets. Luckily, you can pick up an adapter or a roll of plumber’s tape for cheap, though it would’ve been nice if the hose created a perfect seal straight from the box.
