Eureka Mighty Mite Bagged Canister Vacuum 3670H Review

Looking for an inexpensive canister vacuum that doesn’t feel cheap? You can end your search right now! The Eureka Mighty Might 3670H is a powerful canister that cleans bare floors exceptionally well, and it has one tiny but significant feature that you wouldn’t find in most canister models.

Eureka 3670H

In this review, we’re going to see whether the budget-friendly 3670H is worth its very minimal investment.

10-amp Motor

This stylish blue canister is packing a tremendous 10-amp motor that delivers a maximum of 19 kPa of suction power. This is far, far off from being the strongest canister vacuum out there, but it’s definitely not something to overlook.

This much suction allows you to clean bare floors (tiles, floorboards, marble) with relative ease—each pass should remove most, if not all, dust without the slightest hint of trouble.

Brushroll-less Vacuum Head

The 3760H comes with a simple suction-only vacuum. Without a beater bar, this may not be the most reliable tool to have for deep-cleaning carpets and rugs, though in a pinch, it can certainly remove surface debris from low-pile carpets.

The silver lining is that the dusting brush attachment works well at removing crumbs and other small-sized particles from shaggy rugs.

8.6-pound Build

Not only is it a powerful canister vacuum model for its price range, but it’s also extremely light. Weight in at only 8.6 pounds while sporting 2 very large rear wheels, this unit glides seamlessly across all surface types to help get at dust piles.

Carrying this unit to clean overhead surfaces like vents and ceiling fans shouldn’t be a strain on your back and shoulder muscles either.

Easy-Empty Dust Bag

The 3670H is a classical canister vacuum in the sense that it doesn’t come with a washable and reusable dust cup. Instead, it uses disposable bags that store up to 2.5 liters of floor junk before needing to be tossed out and replaced.

There’s no denying that it makes cleaning up after the vacuum cleaner a lot easier. Plus, the bags are completely sealed to prevent leaking dust back onto your floors.

In spite of its easy-empty label, these bags are NOT reusable—you’ll need to purchase replacement bags to keep using this vacuum cleaner.

31-foot Reach from Wall Outlet

If you remember what we said about the NEN100A’s short cord, you may be surprised to learn that Eureka increased the length of the cord on the 3670H, though not at a significant amount. The cord is only 20 feet long so multi-room cleaning from a single outlet may not be possible.

However, reaching overhead surfaces is a breeze thanks to the 7-foot suction hose and 4-foot wand. Using one of the three cleaning tools (crevice tool, dusting brush, upholstery brush), you won’t need a step-ladder to remove dust reasonable heights.

Kinky Suction Hose

We don’t mean that the suction hose is attractive in an odd way but rather it kinks and twists a bit too frequently for our liking. The hose appears to be made of a cheap, flimsy composite material which could possibly end up tearing. We haven’t had this problem, and with proper care and storage, you shouldn’t either.

Blower Port

As we mentioned in the beginning of this page, the 3670H has a secret weapon that makes it stand out among the vast sea of canister vacuums. This is the blower port located on the rear end of the tool.

By moving the suction hose to the blower port, you can use the 3670H to move piles of dead leaves and other large-sized debris out of garages or off of driveways. We wouldn’t recommend using the blower port inside of your home since it might actually cause dust to scatter of settle in hard-to-reach areas.

Washable Filter

For those with pets looking for the amazing filtration performance of a HEPA-esque system, sadly, the stock filter isn’t what you’re looking for. It uses a standard washable filter that has a lifespan of about 6 to 12 months before needing to be replaced. The good news, as some customers found, is that some HEPA filters for other Eureka models are compatible with this unit, but we haven’t attempted to prove or disprove these claims.

Verdict: Should I Get the Eureka Mighty Mite 3670H?

Despite a couple of downsides here or there, the Eureka Mighty Mite 3670H works surprisingly well for its price range. This affordable canister vacuum does what you’d expect a vacuum to do on smooth, flat surfaces thanks to its pure-suction floorhead, and it can also help in removing surface debris from carpets.

The blower port feature is an excellent addition that makes the tedious task of cleaning garages go by much quicker.
