Eufy RoboVac 25C Robotic Vacuum Review

Weak suction often keeps people from taking the plunge into robotic vacuum ownership. While its low profile and long-lasting battery made the RoboVac 10 a popular seller, Eufy knew that robot vacuums needed stronger suction to keep up with the demands of an average home.

The RoboVac 25C provides what many other robotic vacuum cleaners lack – powerful suction. You can even automate the suction-boost function if you choose.

However, suction isn’t the robot’s only shining quality. The 25C is equipped with Wi-Fi technology that offers voice and smartphone control. Inside the robot, there is a three-filter system that keeps allergens at bay. You also get the benefit of four cleaning modes, a ‘bot locater, and a high-tensile brush roll.

BoostIQ Suction

Whether it’s a daily run through on wall-to-wall carpeting or a pile of heavy debris, the RoboVac 25C is up for the task. The robotic vacuum boasts Eufy’s innovative BoostIQ technology.

If you activate BoostIQ, the 25C automatically increases its suction up to 1,500 pascals when needed. You also have the option of keeping the robot set to its maximum suction strength or decreasing it to a standard level.

Triple-Brush System

No vacuum cleaner is complete without some moving the brush. The 25C features a triple-brush system to enhance its lifting prowess. If you flip over the robot, you’ll see a double-helix brushroll in the center, which digs deep into carpets and under stubborn debris.

There is also a pair of propeller-style brushes that spin nonstop. These brushes do an excellent job of removing dust from baseboards, and they act as debris collectors too.

Wi-Fi and Other Controls

Thanks to the inclusion of a remote and Wi-Fi, there is no shortage of ways to control this robotic vacuum. Backlit touch controls allow you to start and dock the robot. As long as you’re no more than10 feet away, you can access all the robot’s cleaning modes (see below) and more with the remote control.

However, it’s the Wi-Fi technology that elevates the 25C robot vacuum status. You can download the EufyHome app and use your smartphone to control the robot and other Eufy smart products from one central location.

Alternatively, you can pair the vacuum with your Alexa or Assistant device to start, dock, stop and find the robot.

Cleaning Modes

Would you vacuum the entire room just to clean up a small pile of mess? Of course not. That’s why the RoboVac 25C offers four cleaning modes plus directional driving.

Auto mode moves the robot in a random pattern to vacuum your entire home while quick-clean mode vacuums for 30 minutes at a time, making it ideal for one-room jobs. Spot mode spins the robot in a spiral for 2 minutes, and edge mode cleans along the walls for 20 minutes.

Navigation

At 2.85 inches tall, the Eufy 25C excels at clearing low-to-the-ground furniture. It’s also able to transition from hard floors to carpets without wobbling or toppling thanks to the robot’s two treaded wheels.

As the robot moves around the floor, it uses bounce technology to change directions and avoid collisions. On the off chance you can’t find the robot, you can press the find-my-robot function on the app or the remote. The robot will emit a soft beep, allowing you to locate it quickly.

Lithium-Ion Battery

Manufacturers often skimp on battery quality to lower production costs and maximize their profits. However, Eufy chose a lithium-ion battery for the 25C. This means the robot can work for 100 minutes on a single charge. In 5 to 6 hours, the battery can recharge from 0 to 100%.

Filters

Eufy goes above and beyond when it comes to the filters inside of the 25C. In total, there are three, all of which can be found within the hinged dust box.

The foam and high-performance filters are designed to trap many of the smaller allergens that would otherwise contaminate the air. There is also a pre-filter that captures large debris and protects the other two filters.

Stronger and Smarter

Finally. A robotic vacuum that cleans carpets. We love that Eufy integrated its proprietary BoostIQ technology and triple-brush cleaning system. The 25C also earns our admiration for being Wi-Fi enabled and virtual-assistant compatible. The cleaning modes are aplenty, and the lithium-ion battery offers a long working time.

Despite the thoughtful design of the robot, there are two areas of concern. First, the battery can take almost a quarter of the day to recharge. For us, it’s not a deal breaker because this is the norm for high-capacity batteries.

Second, the pre-filter and foam filter only last two months even if you regularly wash them. Luckily, filter replacements are extremely cheap. Smart, strong and streamlined – the Eufy RoboVac 25C.

As you can see, the Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 25C is, above all else, a simple robot vacuum. By using this robot vacuum, you won’t have any problems vacuuming the dirt, dust, and debris from off of your hard and soft floors.

Plus, to make use of this vacuum’s features, all you need to do is use your smartphone and choose the settings that work for you. Because of that, this is an excellent robot vacuum to purchase if you need something that’s simple, and that works very well.

Pros: Simple and elegant design, very easy-to-use, good suction power, effective brushing system

Cons: Battery-life is only ninety-minutes
