If you want a powerful robot with a ton of add-on features that make it more convenient than most Roombas, your search is over. The RoboVac X8 by eufy packs a mighty punch that makes cleaning floors easier than ever. Check out our review of the RoboVac X8 down below to find out more.
Twin Turbines
The RoboVac X8 is unlike any other robot you’ll find out there—save for the RoboVac X8 Hybrid, its brother model. What makes the two X8 models so unique is that they come with twin motors, each of which delivers up to 2,000 Pa of suction power. Together, they provide double the lifting power to remove even the tiniest particles from in between carpet fibers.
The two motors work independently from each other. So, while they don’t produce a combined 4,000 Pa of suction, which would be outstanding, in conjunction, they do a stellar job at leaving no trace of dust or pet hair in its wake.
Laser SLAM Navigation
The Eufy X8 comes with some pretty high-tech stuff built into it. For starters, the Laser SLAM Navigation system creates a near-perfect digital map of your home during its initial run. While the robot patrols your home, it will automatically map out the layout of your home, including unmovable obstacles.
Using the EufyHome smartphone app, you can see the robot create the digital map in real-time and even make adjustments to the layout. This ensures that your robot never travels where it can’t or shouldn’t and focusing its cleaning on specific parts of your home.
Multi-Map Storage
Like many high-end robot vacuums out there, the RoboVac X8’s navigation system can store more than a single floor plan. This allows you to move the robot up and down flights of stairs where it will commence work without a preliminary scan. Users are free to modify maps or delete them when no longer in use.
UltraPack Dust-Compression
Here’s another feature that makes the RoboVac X8 stand out among its competitors. It features a 600-mL dustbin where all suctioned debris is collected until manual disposal. However, thanks to the Twin Turbines, it’s able to compact debris deep into the farthest recesses of the dustbin, thereby packing more debris into the bin before reaching max capacity.
Since air is removed from the dustbin to leave more room for floor debris, you won’t have to empty out the dustbin as frequently. This unit doesn’t come with a self-emptying base, so any method of reducing how frequently you need to empty out its dustbin is a huge win.
Floating Brush
The main brush roll is studded with both bristles and rubber flippers. The brush roll is mounted on a floating axle, meaning that it moves up and down freely depending on the contour of your floors.
This ensures that the brush roll maintains constant contact with your floors so that they never miss a strand of hair or speck of dust, even in between floorboards and tiles. According to Eufy, this system makes picking up pet hair 57.6% more efficient than its older RoboVac models.
Wide Selection of Customizable Cleaning Settings
After downloading the EufyHome smartphone app, you’ll gain access to all sorts of cleaning options. Spot cleaning focuses the RoboVac X8’s movement in a particular area to pick up concentrated dirt piles in heavy-foot-traffic parts of your home. There’s also selective room cleaning to vacuum a preprogrammed room based on the virtual map. These functions are also available using voice prompts via an Alexa or Assistant device.
Finally, you can prevent the RoboVac X8 from vacuuming certain areas, like bathrooms or around pet bowls, using the virtual no-go zone function. Basically, with these three functions, the robot cleans only where you want it to and when.

3-Hour Runtime
Like any good robot, the RoboVac X8 packs a heavy-duty 5,200-mAh battery pack. However, this unit doesn’t stop to refuel at the 90-minute or 120-minute mark. It can patrol your floors for up to three hours nonstop.
Based on users’ experiences, 180 minutes of continuous cleaning is more thane enough time to vacuum every square foot of floor space in apartments and single-floor homes. When its battery is low on juice, it’ll make a beeline for its charging station and resume cleaning when it’s fully recharged.

Verdict: A Must-Have Robot with Outstanding Performance and Convenience
The Eufy RoboVac X8 has to be one of the best robotic vacuum cleaners out there based on performance metrics alone. Unfortunately, it’s missing a self-emptying station, and it doesn’t come with a mop attachment (check out the eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid for a 2-in-1 robot). However, looking at its outstanding cleaning and massive battery pack, it would make for the perfect robot vac for pet owners in large homes.
