Twin Turbines

One of the first things you should know about the RoboVac X8 Hybrid is that it features two motors inside of its sleek body. Both motors are designed to draw in air at a rate of 2,000 Pa, effectively providing the best clean possible by robot vacuum standards.

With twin motors, the RoboVac X8 Hybrid has an easier time lifting strands of hair from carpet fibers and sending them into the oversized dustbin in one swift motion. According to Eufy, this model removes hair up to 57.6% better than older RoboVac models.

Mop Attachment

The RoboVac X8 comes in two varieties—the standard X8 and the X8 Hybrid. The Hybrid model, which is what we’re looking at, comes with a 250-mL water tank, a waterproof pad, a reusable microfiber pad, and disposable pads.

To use the mopping function, simply fill the tank with water and attach any of the mopping pads onto the bottom of the tank. The RoboVac X8 Hybrid will automatically detect that the mop attachment is installed and switch the mopping mode immediately.

Laser SLAM Navigation

Thanks to its high-tech iPath Laser Navigation system, the RoboVac X8 Hybrid has no trouble figuring out the layout of your home and programming the most efficient cleaning routes possible. Upon turning the robot on for the first time, it’ll commence a preliminary cleaning session where it familiarizes itself with your home and creates a digital map for future access.

After creating the map, it’ll automatically color-code each room, which you can modify or delete using the smartphone app. Best of all, the robot can memorize multiple floor plans, so it won’t have to perform the scanning process each time you move it to different floors.

UltraPack Dust-Compression

The RoboVac X8 Hybrid dustbin can only store up to 400 mL of dust at a time, which, by modern robotic vacuum standards, is close to nothing. However, thanks to UltraPack Dust-Compression, every bit of debris sucked into the robot is compacted as much as possible to save space and allow for more vacuuming between emptying out.

Rolling Brush

On the underside of the X8 Hybrid is a rolling brush that floats up and down depending on the contour of the floor. This design allows the brush roll to maintain constant contact with the floor, thereby picking up more debris with each pass.

Per user reports, the RoboVac X8 Hybrid is much more adept at deep-cleaning carpets and removing debris from between floorboard and tiles than other robots. Combined with BoostIQ technology, the X8 Hybrid has no problem cleaning both bare and carpeted floors in fewer passes.

Customizable Cleaning Options

When you download the EufyHome app on your smartphone and sync it to your new X8 Hybrid, you’ll gain access to all sorts of cleaning settings. The most noteworthy of which include selective room cleaning and creating no-go zones.

Selective room cleaning forces the robot to stay within the confines of one or multiple rooms to offer a deeper clean in the area(s). However, if you want to clean your entire home minus a few rooms, simply create virtual barriers that inform the robot where it can’t pass. These functions are possible either by setting them up in the EufyHome app or with voice prompts via an Alexa or Assistant smart speaker.

180-Minute Runtime per Charge

Most hybrid robots have a runtime of around 90 and 120 minutes per charge, but the RoboVac X8 Hybrid blows them all out. It can patrol your floors for up to 180 minutes, allowing it to cover more than 2,000 square feet before it needs to refuel.

With three consecutive hours of cleaning, it’s entirely possible for the X8 Hybrid to clean one or multiple floors on a single charge. Depending on how dirty your floors are, you might discover that your new X8 Hybrid’s 400-mL dustbin fills up before even using half its battery life. When it eventually does run out of juice, it’ll return to its charging station and recharge before heading back out again.
