All the basic elements that make for a great robotic vacuum are present in the Eufy RoboVac 30C Max, including a pair of brushes, a stiff-bristled brushroll and a large suction inlet. The 30C Max uses infrared sensors to navigate; it self-charges the battery and contains a comprehensive high-efficiency filtration unit.
However, the RoboVac 30C Max offers more than just the fundamentals. It has a BoostIQ sensor that automatically increases the suction as needed. The RoboVac 30C Max also connects to your home’s Wi-Fi, giving you smartphone and virtual assistant control. Plus, you get magnetic strips, a remote and a tempered glass top.

The bottom line is that the Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C MAX takes what worked in the RoboVac 30C, and improves upon that ever so slightly. Because of that, this robot vacuum offers greater suction power, a sleeker design, those extremely useful Boundary Strips, and a vacuuming experience that is, overall, extremely convenient. If that is what you need, then the Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C MAX will serve you very well.
Pros: Offers all of the great features the RoboVac 30C offered, excellent suction power, sleek design, useful Boundary Strips
Cons: Somewhat expensive
Over 12 Inches of Brushing Power
On the Eufy 30C RoboVac Max, two side brushes sweep debris toward the inlet. From point to point, the 30C Max measures 12.8 inches, rivaling the cleaning paths of stick and upright vacuums. The side brushes also remove dirt from wall edges for a spotless finish, and you get a complimentary spare set.
In the center of the floor plate, there is a stiff-bristled brushroll, which is tough enough to lift debris from medium-pile carpet. The brushroll’s double-helix pattern promises efficiency on carpets as well as hard-surface floors.
Automatic Suction With Manual Override
For the RoboVac 30C Max, Eufy took the suction inlet from previous models and enlarged it. The increased inlet size lets coarse debris pass through the robotic vacuum with relative ease. It also reduces the likelihood of clogs in the suction line.
As with many of Eufy’s current robot vacuum models, the 30C Max is equipped with BoostIQ. This technology relies on carpet-detection sensors that raise the suction to 2,000 pascals. Although BoostIQ automatically increases the suction when vacuuming carpets, you do have the option of manually engaging this feature.

Infrared Navigation Sensors
Although basic, infrared sensors do an adequate job of keeping a robo vac safe, and they are the type of sensors we expect to see on an affordable robotic vacuum like the 30C Max. This group of 10 sensors prevent collisions and falls; two of them are dedicated to detecting the magnetic barrier strips that come with the robot.
Measuring 2.85 inches tall, this robotic vacuum can clean under furniture that many robot vacuums are unable to clear. It also has oversized wheels that climb 0.63 inches, making transitions from bare floors to carpets a cinch. Plus, a tempered glass top keeps the RoboVac 30C Max scratch-free.
Up to 100 Minutes Per Cleaning Cycle
With a capacity of 2,600 milliamperes, this robotic vacuum’s battery lasts for a long time. On standard suction when vacuuming hard-surface floors, you can expect the 30C Max to clean for 90 to 100 minutes. Even if it runs on BoostIQ mode nonstop, you’ll still get 40 to 60 minutes per charge.
Another benefit of the lithium-ion battery is its ability to maintain the robot’s suction strength. Unlike other rechargeable batteries such as nickel-cadmium, lithium-ion doesn’t suffer from the memory effect that causes a vacuum cleaner’s suction to weaken. Plus, the 30C Max knows to automatically recharge when the battery is low.

Single-Cartridge Filtration
Robo vac manufacturers have automated many tasks, but filter maintenance still eludes them. However, Eufy did make taking care of the 30C Max’s filter easier by combining the pre-filter with the high-performance media. This unified cartridge’s pleats are angular, enhancing the filter’s allergen-capturing ability.
To access this filter and clean it or exchange it for the extra one that Eufy included, you need to remove the dirt bin, which is easy to do. Simply press the integrated button on the handle, and the 20.3-ounce bin will pop right out. Open the bin, and you’ll see the filter resting in the lid.
Cleaning Control Wherever You Go
Wi-Fi connectivity gives you a whole host of control options. The EufyHome app provides access to every controllable function. You can select one of four cleaning modes, including edge, spot, single-room and random-bounce auto clean. Day/time scheduling and a robot finder are also in the app.
You can even pair the RoboVac 30C Max with an Assistant or an Alexa smart speaker to start, stop, dock or locate the robot vacuum via speech. Eufy does include a remote with this robot. With the remote, you are able to select a cleaning mode, dock, change the suction speed and manually navigate the 30C Max.

Eufy 30C MAX Review: Better Than Basic
Although the RoboVac 30C Max is not fully loaded, there are a lot of features that you’ll love. An extra-wide inlet and an efficient brushroll help it clean carpeted floors thoroughly. The inclusion of BoostIQ technology means the robot will maximize its vacuuming power when it’s needed the most.
The robot is shorter than 3 inches, so you won’t have to move furniture often (if at all), and it has a protective glass top, a low-maintenance filter and a large bin. The battery lasts a long time, and it won’t reduce the suction speed as the charge level decreases.
Although we wish the remote had a display for offline scheduling, we happily accept the 30C Max’s smartphone app and virtual assistant compatibility.
If your budget is small but you are ready for robot vacuum ownership, or you just aren’t happy with the robot you have, the Eufy RoboVac 30C Max is a well-rounded choice.
