A common misconception about robotic vacuums is that they aren’t great at cleaning carpets, but Eufy has proved this to be untrue time and again. Eufy’s RoboVac 11S is equipped with powerful suction that automatically increases when cleaning carpets, making it an outstanding performer on hard floors and medium-pile carpet.
Eufy has outdone itself with the RoboVac 11S Max. While it shares many of the 11S’ features such as a stiff-bristled brushroll and a pair of side brushes, the 11S Max’s suction is stronger, and its filters last longer. Both robot vacuums boast a short height for superior under-furniture reach, an excellent runtime and multiple cleaning-mode choices.

Suction and Brushes
Eufy RoboVac 11S
The RoboVac 11S features BoostIQ Technology. When the 11S detects carpeting underneath it, the suction automatically increases to 1,300 pascals. In standard-suction mode, the robot is surprisingly quiet, generating only 55 decibels of sound.
Two edge-sweeping brushes and a sturdy rolling brush help the 11S collect and lift debris and dirt.
Eufy RoboVac 11S Max
Ranging from 55 to 63 decibels, the 11S Max isn’t a noise-maker. It is, however, a supreme suction-producer. Eufy integrated its BoostIQ Technology into the 11S Max, which kicks up the suction to a whopping 2,000 pascals when vacuuming carpet.
A streamlined suction path, dual side brushes and main brushroll lend the 11S Max a lot of lifting power.
Conclusion: Both are quiet and come with the necessary hardware that a reliable robot vacuum should have, namely a brushroll and two side brushes.
Although the 11S’ 1,300 pascals’ worth of suction is nothing to turn up your nose at, the 11S Max beats the 11S by 700 pascals.
The Controls
Eufy RoboVac 11S
Eufy included an infrared remote control with the 11S. The remote’s digital display allows you to set a daily schedule for automated cleaning. You even have the option of choosing from among spot clean, edge clean and small-room clean.
Directional driving, manual BoostIQ and BoostIQ override are accessible from the remote; an auto-start button can be found on the robot itself.
Eufy RoboVac 11S Max
Start an automatic cleaning session in an instant from the robot or the remote control. Additionally, you can spot clean a small area, edge clean around walls and vacuum a small room by using the remote.
The remote gives you the option of guiding the robot yourself as well as disabling the automatic BoostIQ function for manual suction control.
Conclusion: For both the 11S and 11S Max, auto-clean mode is accessible via the robot. Their remotes offer the same features and functions, including a digital display, scheduling, three specialized cleaning modes and suction control.
Size and Navigation
Eufy RoboVac 11S
Short yet rugged. The RoboVac 11S stands 2.85 inches tall and has treaded wheels with a 0.63-inch climbing threshold. A bumper protects the front, and a tempered glass cover keeps the top scratch-free.
Also included on the 12.8-inch-wide robot are two ledge-detection sensors and one obstacle-avoidance sensor.

At the height of 2.85 inches, the RoboVac 11S Max is able to fit under low-slung furniture. The 12.8-inch-wide 11S Max is protected by a tempered glass cover, a shock-absorbing bumper, an anti-collision sensor and dual anti-fall sensors.
Two large, treaded wheels help it incline 0.63 inches during floor transitions.
Conclusion: The 11S Max’s body is built the same as the 11S’. Therefore, neither experience any trouble during floor transitions and they are both able to make clearances under 3 inches. The inclusion of a tempered glass cover and a protective bumper mean each robot can withstand contact with other objects.
The Battery
Eufy RoboVac 11S
Due to its 2,600 mAh capacity, the 14.4-volt lithium-ion battery provides the robot with as many as 100 working minutes per charge. The 11S is capable of driving and docking to the charger on its own.
The dock’s indicator light tells you when the battery is recharged, which takes about 5 to 6 hours.
Eufy RoboVac 11S Max
To give it a runtime of over 1.5 hours, Eufy used a 14.4-volt 2,600 mAh lithium-ion battery in the 11S Max. When the battery is low, the 11S Max automatically locates and plants itself on the charging dock.
Once there, an indicator on the dock illuminates to let you know the battery is charging. Total charging time takes up to 6 hours.
Conclusion: Each robot vacuum can get a lot done in a day due to their equally long runtimes. Both take 6 hours to recharge; however, that figure applies to a dead battery. Since the robots know to self-dock when the battery is low, the actual charging time will be much shorter.
Filtration and Dirt Collection
Eufy RoboVac 11S
Dust and other fine particles are captured by a bi-layered pre-filter and a high-performance main filter; both disposable filters are located in the pop-out dirt bin.
The bin can hold 0.6 liters of debris, and its hinged top keeps dust from floating into the air when you empty it.
Eufy RoboVac 11S Max
Allergens must travel through three layers of media – a double-layered pre-filter and a high-efficiency core filter.
When the filters get dirty, simply remove them from the enclosed dirt bin and wash them. With a capacity of 0.6 liters, you won’t find yourself constantly running to the trash can.
Conclusion: With either robot vacuum, you get the benefit of two filters, one of which is dual-layered. Their dirt bins are sizeable, and they do an excellent job at dirt containment. Despite the similarities, the 11S Max’s filters are reusable while the 11S’ are throw-aways.

If you have hard floors or standard residential wall-to-wall carpeting, the 11S is a great choice.
It’s a well-rounded robot vacuum with enough suction and brush power to clean light and heavy messes. The remote offers convenience and a load of options, including session scheduling.
Like the Eufy Robovac 11S, the 11S Max has BoostIQ suction; therefore, it excels at lifting all types of debris. If you have thick carpet or pets that shed hair, the 11S Max will serve you well.
Its suction is about 50 percent stronger than the 11S’, and the air path is more direct. The Eufy RoboVac 11S MAX is also an excellent robot vacuum for those who don’t mind washing filters occasionally to save money on filter replacements.
