2600-Pa Suction
First of all, does the N8 Pro+ suck? Yes, it does, with incredible power, mind you. The N8 Pro+ is rated to deliver a maximum of 2600 Pa, making it one of the first of its class to do so.
With much suction power, this hybrid bot should have no trouble extracting the rice, sand, and dust from medium-pile carpeting in just one or two passes. When set on auto mode, this robot will automatically kick its suction power into high-gear whenever it steps wheel on carpeted surfaces.

Like any hybrid robot, the N8 Pro+ comes with a detachable water reservoir with four water flow levels that saturate the microfiber pad at different rates so as to prevent oversaturation.
The robot can also vacuum and mop simultaneously, leaving smooth floors as clean as possible with every pass. Best of all, thanks to advanced carpet detection technology, the N8 Pro+ will automatically stop saturating the microfiber pad whenever it makes its way over carpets.
TrueDetect Technology
Using 3D-based laser sensors, the N8 Pro+ can identify unmovable obstacles in its cleaning path. It’ll automatically steer clear of vases, pet bowls, toys, and other roadblocks. In addition, it’ll adjust its cleaning route based on how new obstacles appear from out of nowhere. This results in uninterrupted cleaning for the entire 110-minute duration per charge.
TrueMapping Navigation
The N8 Pro+ is installed with a LiDar Navigation System that uses TrueMapping to create the most efficient cleaning path. According to Ecovacs, this robot can create digital layouts of your home with twice as much coverage and up to four times more accurately compared to previous models. It does this by shooting 360° lasers to detect obstacles and walls during its maiden trip around your home.
Full-Automation App with Enhanced Customizability
With great navigation and mapping technology comes great customizability. After downloading and syncing your robot to the ECOVACS app on your smartphone, you’ll gain access to the digital map.
The app lets you define room names, manually draw designated cleaning areas, define no-go and no-mop zones, merge or divide parts of a room, and much, much more. Users can also create cleaning schedules using the smartphone app, though you can just as easily command the robot to start and stop cleaning from anywhere in the world, provided you and your robot are connected to the internet.
Auto-Emptying Station
What makes the N8 Pro+ a Plus version is the addition of a self-cleaning charging dock. Whenever the robot returns to its charging station to recharge or when its dustbin has reached max capacity, the auto-emptying station will suction the contents out, leaving it completely empty and ready for the next round of cleaning. You can leave the robot unattended for days at a time without worrying about manually emptying the self-cleaning canister.
110-Minute Runtime + Continuous Clean
The N8 Pro+ is equipped with a 3,200-mAh rechargeable battery that supplies close to two hours of nonstop vacuuming and mopping. However, on its highest suction-power mode, the runtime drops to roughly half the max duration.
This isn’t a problem since the N8 Pro+ will automatically return to its charging station whenever the battery drops to below 10%. At 80% capacity, the robot will leave its self-emptying charging station and pick up where it left off until its scheduled cleaning session is complete.
Smart Speaker Support
The N8 Pro+ wouldn’t be a smart hybrid robot if it didn’t have smart speaker support. You can command the robot to perform basic cleaning duties by yelling orders at your Alexa or Assistant speakers, which will relay the instructions to the robot. You can even ask the robot to clean specific rooms after you’ve renamed them using the ECOVACS app.
Triple-Layer High-Efficiency Filtration
It’s important to note that the N8 Pro+ wasn’t designed to be a super-pet-friendly vacuuming assistant. That said, its suction power and brushes can pick up and remove pet hair from low- to medium-pile carpeting in one or two passes.
Best of all, it comes with a triple-layer high-efficiency filtration system that keeps microscopic particles inside the robot’s dustbin. Dander, pollen, and dust particles are trapped in the dustbin at up to 99% efficiency, preventing these common allergens from shooting out of the exhaust and going airborne.
