The Deebot N79W+ by Ecovacs is a great entry-level model for those who want an affordable robot vacuum with Wi-Fi connectivity. The white N79W+ features a long-lasting rechargeable battery and self-docking ability. Its short height enhances the robot’s maneuverability, and a suction-boost mode gives the N79W+ extra lifting power. Scheduling is available via the Ecovacs app, and voice commands can be delivered through Alexa and Assistant.
Excellent Edge Cleaning
When it comes to edge cleaning, the robot performs exceptionally well. At 3.07 inches tall, the Ecovacs Deebot N79W+ is short enough to clean along cabinet kick plates and scoot underneath beds. Ecovacs programmed the N79W+ to run on four modes, including auto, edge spot and small-room.

Infrared-Sensor Navigation
This Deebot robotic vacuum relies on infrared sensors in its padded bumper to determine when an obstacle is in its path. Its anti-drop sensors are effective at preventing falls by stopping the robot before it reaches the stairs, and a pair of rubber wheels keep the robot from getting stuck on area rugs. Since the N79W+ moves in a random pattern, the robot vacuum is most efficient when used in small to average-sized homes.
Self-Docking
While the N79W+ doesn’t have smart mapping to increase its coverage area per charge, the battery’s 110-minute runtime helps to close the gap. Ecovacs programmed this robot to drive to the compact dock on its own when the battery needs a recharge, saving you the trouble of physically positioning it.
Max Power Suction
Carpets benefit from the robot’s Max Power mode, which doubles the suction strength to 1,000 pascals when activated. In regular suction mode, the N79W+ does an outstanding job lifting dust from hard floors and keeping up with the messes your kids make. With a sound output that’s quieter than an upright or canister vacuum, the Deebot N79W+ is apartment-friendly too.

Hair-Lifting Brushroll
If you have pets, you’ll appreciate the robotic vacuum’s brushroll. Long bristles fashioned in a V shape allow the brushroll to loosen and lift clingy pet hair. There are also two fast-spinning side brushes, which gather debris and dust baseboards.
High-Efficiency Filtration
For allergen containment, Ecovacs chose a three-layered filter cartridge that you can rinse and reuse repeatedly. The filter can be found inside the N79W+’s 17.6-ounce dirt bin, which slides out easily and clicks into place securely.

A Robotic Vacuum for Everyone
Ecovacs touched on everyone’s needs when it designed the Ecovacs Deebot N79W+. This robotic vacuum has Wi-Fi controls for those who prefer smart technology. At 64 decibels, its suction is quiet enough not to disturb the neighbor in the apartment below or next door. The brushroll keeps shed animal hair under control, and the filter reduces airborne particles that plague allergy sufferers. Here’s how the N79W+ compares to other robot vacs at the same price point.
Ecovacs Deebot N79W+ vs 500
The Ecovacs Deebot N79W+ and Deebot 500 are well-adept at cleaning hard floors and carpets thanks to their three-part brush system and surprisingly quiet Max Power suction mode. A pull-out bin holds a large amount of debris, and their layered filter promises efficient allergen reduction.

Each robotic vacuum is equipped with a battery that’s strong enough to maintain suction whether it has a 95 or 5-percent charge. When operating on regular suction mode, both Deebots boast a working time of 110 minutes. Their ability to automatically dock and recharge means they’re always ready to roll.
As far as control options go, both robot vacuums are compatible with the Ecovacs HOME app, Alexa and Assistant. Through the app, you can program a schedule and receive performance updates. While both models offer auto, spot and edge mode, only the N79W+ gives you a small-room option. However, each one lets you start an auto-clean session from its top panel or remote.
With bumpers made of shock-absorbing rubber, accidental bumps won’t damage these robots or your furniture. Both Deebots measure 3.07 inches tall, allowing them to vacuum under most couches and beds. Although the N79W+’s white finish speaks to lovers of minimalism, the Deebot 500’s black anti-scratch cover is modern in its own right.
To navigate a home, the N79W+ and 500 uses bumper-integrated anti-collision and anti-drop sensors. Infrared-sensor navigation moves these robots in a random path, changing their direction when they encounter objects and stairs. Both robo vacs are warrantied by Ecovacs with the N79W+’s warranty period lasting two years and the 500’s warranty ending at the 1-year mark.
Ecovacs Deebot N79W+ vs N79W
While the Deebot N79W+ is a budget-friendly robotic vacuum, the Ecovacs N79W comes at a rock-bottom price. Unlike the brand new, 2-year-warrantied N79W+, the N79W is an Amazon Renewed model, which means it has been cleaned and restored to a like-new condition. With the N79W, you get not only Ecovacs’ 1-year warranty but also Amazon’s 90-day refund/replacement guarantee and troubleshooting support.
Don’t let the refurbished aspect of the N79W turn you off. You still get the same fantastic features that come with the N79W+, including quiet suction that you can manually increase, a hair-lifting brushroll and two side sweepers. Allergy sufferers and pet owners will appreciate both robots’ extra-large dirt bin and all-in-one filter set.
Inside each robot, there is a lithium-ion battery that provides unwavering suction. The high-capacity battery keeps the robot vacuums going for up to 110 minutes. Once the battery level gets low, the N79W+ and N79W will dock to the space-saving base and recharge the battery on their own.
The onboard auto-clean button and the remote are standard yet convenient control methods. However, you get a lot more out of these Deebots when you install the Ecovacs HOME app on your smartphone, such as spot and edge modes, scheduling, and real-time operating statuses. If you have a Google or Amazon assistant device, you can pair it with either robot.
Infrared sensors stop falls and collisions before they occur as the robots take a random route throughout your house. These white robotic vacuums have a pair of treaded wheels and a protective bumper for stability and durability. Measuring a mere 3.07 inches tall, there aren’t too many places the N79W+ and the N79W can’t go.

Ecovacs Deebot N79W+ vs eufy RoboVac 30C
Ecovacs’ Deebot N79W+ and Eufy’s RoboVac 30C are equipped with a V-shaped brushroll and a pair of rotating sweeper brushes. While the N79W+’s manual-only Max Power suction reaches a strong 1,000 pascals, the 30C’s automatic BoostIQ suction ramps up to 1,500 pascals.
A high-capacity lithium-ion battery was chosen to power both of these robots. The Deebot’s battery lasts for 10 minutes longer per charge on normal-suction mode in comparison to the Eufy. When their suction runs at top speed, you get 40 additional minutes’ worth of runtime from the N79W+. However, both will auto-dock, streamlining the recharging process.
While each robotic vacuum’s bin houses a high-efficiency filter, the solid black 30C’s bin can hold 2.7 ounces more debris. The 30C is also shorter than the all-white N79W+ by 0.22 inches, giving the Eufy robot a slight edge in terms of under-furniture cleaning.
You can install the robots’ respective smartphone apps to schedule and access their spot, edge and 30-minute-vacuuming modes. You also have the option of issuing voice commands through Alexa or Assistant, using the remote and engaging auto mode via the onboard control panel. The Eufy 30C even offers a convenient find-me feature to help you locate the robot.
Movements made by both robots are random; however, both eventually make their way to all areas of the floor. Sensors that spot stairs and objects help the N79W+ and 30C navigate. For zone cleaning, Eufy throws in a 13-foot boundary strip to use with the 30C. When it comes to the warranty period, the N79W+ is covered for twice as long.
