Best and Most Popular Dyson Knockoff Stick Vacuums: Are they Worth It?
Dyson has built itself a grand reputation as a premier vacuum cleaner manufacturer. Considering the technology that Dyson implements into its products, Dyson has certainly earned its reputation. Dyson stick vacuums include features such as whole-machine filtration, radial cyclones, handheld conversion and mess-free bin emptying. Some models even offer variable-speed suction, performance reports on an LCD screen and up to 1 hour’s worth of runtime.
We know it’s cliché, but imitation truly is the sincerest form of flattery. Lesser-known stick vacuum brands often copy Dyson’s vacuum technology as a way to get a leg up in the industry. We don’t blame them. Dyson stick vacuums are innovative, reliable and efficient.
Many of these fledgling brands make their vacuums look so similar that you often can’t tell at first glance they aren’t a Dyson. Just because they look like a Dyson and share many of Dyson’s features, does it mean they perform like a Dyson stick vacuum?
Before we reviewed them, we were a little skeptical about these knockoff vacuum cleaners. However, after reviewing nine stick vacuums from eight different makers, our overall consensus is that off-brand Dysons aren’t too shabby. For budget-restricted consumers, these stick vacs provide much of what Dyson offers at a fraction of the price.
ONSON Stick Vacuum Cleaner Review
The 100-watt ONSON boasts two cleaning modes, including a max mode that generates 12,000 pascals of suction power. All the debris the vacuum collects is housed in a transparent 1-liter bin with a bottom swing-door that keeps your hands dirt-free. Inside the bin, a HEPA filter prevents airborne allergens from escaping.
With the 5.07-pound cordless ONSON stick vac, you get two types of floor heads. One contains a bristled brushroll while the other has a soft-touch roller for delicate floors. Both heads are equipped with a swivel joint and a viewing window; running headlights help you see in dark under-furniture spaces.
For above-floor cleaning chores, you can use the stick vac as a handheld vacuum with or without the ruby red pole. The pistol-grip handle offers steady control, and there are two snap-and-lock accessories with which you can clean. The dual-purpose dusting brush is a duster and a crevice combined. There is also a straight crevice tool that cleans in narrow areas.
For its stick vacuum, ONSON chose a 2,200 mAh lithium-ion battery. The rechargeable battery provides 25 to 45 minutes’ worth of runtime, depending on whether the vacuum is on standard or max mode. A wall dock gives you a place to rest the vacuum during its 4-hour recharge time.
GOOVI Stick Vacuum Cleaner Review
This cyan blue beauty by GOOVI features a two-speed, 10,000-pascal cyclonic suction system with a push button that allows you to go from standard to max suction in an instant. The 0.5-liter dirt bin has a fill line to keep you from accidentally clogging the stick vac. A quick button touch is all it takes to open the hinged bottom door and dump the bin’s contents.
In max mode, the 150-watt vacuum lasts for 25 minutes, but the runtime increases to 40 minutes in standard mode. On average, it takes the detachable lithium-ion battery 5 hours to charge via the plug-in adapter. GOOVI also throws in a wall dock for off-the-floor storage.
A row of four LED lights on the direct-drive floor head to guide your path in dimly lit areas. Although it’s easy to maneuver due to its total weight of 4.85 pounds, the stick vac’s head swivels 180 degrees for close cleaning around corners. You can exchange the bristled brushroll for the soft one to meet all your floors’ needs without breaking out your toolbox.
If you need to vacuum your furniture, you can turn the cordless stick vac into a 3.08-pound handheld vacuum. There is a combo dusting brush and a crevice wand you can use for detailing chores. The ergonomic handle offers a comfortable grip, and you don’t need to hold the trigger to produce suction continuously.
BEAUDENS B6 Cordless Stick Vacuum Review
With a 160-watt digital motor, strong and reliable suction are guaranteed. The default suction speed is about 8,000 pascals; however, the suction increases twofold when you push the max-mode button. A sizeable cup with a 17-ounce capacity and a bottom-opening door makes dirt emptying easy. You also get the benefit of HEPA filtration and a spare pleated media.
Vacuuming in crowded rooms is no trouble at all with the B6 Cordless Stick Vacuum from Beaudens. The floor head flexes from side to side, and it can lay flat. BEAUDENS gives you two types of brushrolls that you can switch out in one-floor head. One brushroll is for carpets, and the other is designed for hard floors.
Anyone can use this stick vac as a hand vac thanks to its weight of 2.64 pounds. While in use as a handheld, you have your choice of a mini motorized brush, a crevice wand and a dual-purpose brush. There is also a bendable hose, and you can attach any of the accessories to the 0.67-pound pole. The wall mount offers two spots for tools, and BEAUDENS throws in a bag for the rest.
On the textured handle, an LED indicator shows how much time is left until the air-cooled 2,200 mAh lithium-ion battery recharges (5 hours on average). If you stick to standard suction, you’ll only need to recharge the battery once every 40 minutes.
Tineco PURE ONE S12 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Review
Adjust the suction automatically or manually and get up to 100 minutes of working time. A push button lets you switch between auto and manual. The touch slider allows you to adjust the suction while the 6.6-pound Tineco PURE ONE S12‘s iLoop sensor makes the adjustments based on the floor’s dust volume.
Tineco used a 150-watt motor to power the suction and the direct-drive floor head. This floor head works well on bare floors and carpeting; its running lights provide visibility when needed, and the head produces a lot of torque.
Using the S12’s Wi-Fi connectivity and the Tineco smartphone app, you can get cleaning reports and maintenance reminders. An onboard LED screen gives you information such as blockage and brushroll alerts, dust-level readouts and the current battery charge.
For this Tineco S12 stick vacuum, there are plenty of tools at your disposal. The motorized brush is ideal for stair vacuuming. There’s a flexible and a stiff crevice tool, a two-in-one brush and a soft duster. Plus, the wall-mounted charger for the 2,500 mAh lithium-ion battery has room for three accessories.
You’ll especially appreciate the motor-powered filter tool. Attach this tool to the main body’s accessory connection, and it will begin cleaning the pre-filter for you. Come back in a few minutes, and it’ll be done.
Tineco A10 Hero Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner Review
With a 350-watt motor, it’s no wonder the Tineco A10 Hero produces 110 watts of suction on its highest speed. Even better, long cleaning sessions won’t leave your finger fatigued. While the stick vac has a press-and-hold trigger, you can lock it in place for hand relief. A button touch releases the bottom door of the 0.4-liter bin, which also houses an allergen-reducing filter.
This electric blue stick vacuum performs effectively on all types of flooring. The head features a series of LED lights for in-the-dark visibility. Due to the floor nozzle’s edge-to-edge viewing window, you’ll know right away if the brushroll needs to be untangled.
In just a few seconds, you can turn the 5-pound A10 Hero into a 2.87-pound hand vac. Accessories like the crevice wand, wide dusting brush and motorized power brush make it easy to tackle all your vacuuming jobs, including those in your car. A handy storehouse base provides a place to keep the vacuum and its tools.
Tineco opted for a lithium-ion battery to run the A10 Hero. With a capacity of 2,000 mAh, the battery gives you 10 to 25 minutes of runtime. However, the suction stays strong and steady from start to finish. To recharge the battery, simply plug it into the included adapter.
MOOSOO Cordless Vacuum Review
The 150-watt motor in the MOOSOO Cordless Vacuum produces a whopping 15,000 pascals of suction that runs continuously until you turn off the stick vac. On the vacuum, there’s a clear 0.6-liter dirt cup with a door-release latch on the bottom. Allergy suffers will like the rinsable mesh pre-filter and pleated HEPA filter.
Five LED headlights on the wheel-equipped floor nozzle illuminate your cleaning path. A bristled brushroll inside the white pivoting floor head is extremely efficient at lifting ground-in dirt in between carpet fibers. Thanks to the D-shape handle with finger notches, your hand will never get tired.
Components like the aluminum pole lend to the MOOSOO stick vacuum’s 3.5-pound weight that makes it light enough to lift over your head with one hand. A pair of basic tools that includes a combo brush/crevice and a singular crevice wand let you use the stick-hand vac to clean blinds and bookcases. You even get a wall-mounted hook for vacuum storage.
For a stick vacuum, a 30-minute runtime is great. However, if you want to double the working time, you can buy an additional detachable lithium-ion battery to use while the other is recharging. The 8-cell, 2,500 mAh battery takes 5.5 hours to recharge, and an indicator light lets you know when it’s ready for another round.
iwoly V600 Vacuum Cleaner Review
If you want unlimited runtime, get the corded iwoly V600. This red-and-orange stick vac is equipped with a 600-watt motor that provides strong, reliable performance. With its 16.4-foot power cord, you can vacuum without interruption.
Pushing 15,000 pascals of cyclonic suction pressure, this stick vacuum works like a beast on thick carpeting. A pleated HEPA filter is protected by a cleanable pre-filter, both of which are located inside the 0.5-liter dirt cup. To dump the cup’s contents when full, a quick push and release of the bottom-door button is all it takes.
On the floor head, there is a pair of inset wheels that keep the stick vac steady on the floor. A bendable joint provides the swiveling action needed to vacuum around furniture. The 4.8-pound vacuum’s floor head is thin enough to fit beneath beds and couches, and its curved window gives an unobstructed view of the all-purpose brushroll.
Need to clean your ceiling fan or door frames? The adjustable pole extends up to 28 inches, and you can connect the crevice tool or dusting brush to it. Without the floor nozzle attached, the V600 only weighs 3.3 pounds, so you won’t struggle under its weight in handheld mode. iwoly also includes a wall bracket to hang the vacuum from when not in use.
JASHEN Powerful Stick Vacuum Cleaner Review
120 watts of dual-speed suction makes the JASHEN vacuum an excellent choice for all floor types. Consisting of a HEPA filter and a washable pre-filter, the bin-enclosed filtration system is designed to prevent leaks that cause allergens to go airborne. When it’s time to replace the HEPA filter, you’ll already have one on hand since JASHEN included an extra.
The tri-colored silver, blue and white stick vac comes with interchangeable brushrolls. One rolling brush is soft and pliable to gently dust your hard floors. The other brushroll is rigid and bristled to remove dirt from carpets. Three lights on the floor head make it easy to spot the dust bunnies underneath your sofa, and the smooth-steering nozzle with incredible bend allows you to reach said dust.
Remove the floor nozzle to transform the stick vac into a handheld vacuum and use the bi-purpose brush or thin crevice wand. For tool safekeeping, there is a storage bay that you can place on a countertop or secure to the wall.
With the 2,200 mAh lithium-ion battery, this sick vac’s runtime ranges from 23 to 40 minutes, and its recharge time takes 4 to 5 hours – You’ll know it’s finished charging by looking at the battery indicator. If you can’t fathom holding down the suction trigger that long, you do have the option of locking it.
ROIDMI Premium Portable Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Review
Two levels of suction that top out at 17,000 pascals make the ROIDMI Premium a real powerhouse. Thanks to the cyclonic suction mechanism that moves air at a rate of 950 liters per minute, you’ll never have to worry about dust clogging this stick vac. In addition, a wire mesh pre-filter and the main HEPA filter prevent allergens from escaping the 0.4-liter bin.
Between the multi-directional floor head and a weight of 2.7 pounds, this stick vacuum moves like a dream. The head features a massive window that lets you take a peek at the brushroll. Although the vacuum only comes with a soft brushroll for bare floors, you can purchase a carbon-fiber rolling brush separately and vacuum your carpets.
Like many of the latest stick vacs on the market, the ROIDMI can be used as a handheld vacuum. Its over-bin handle provides a strain-free grip. A motorized upholstery tool, an extra-wide dust brush and a long crevice wand click into place and detach with a button press. The looped handle contains a magnet that secures it to the wall bracket in one swift motion.
This cordless vacuum can go for 10 minutes on max suction and 40 minutes on standard suction. The 6-cell, 2,200 mAh lithium-ion battery rapidly recharges in a mere 2.5 hours.
