2,000-Pa Suction

Like many of Roborock’s latest models, the S6 Pure has a maximum suction rating of 2,000 Pa. This is a lot more powerful than you’d find in other mid-range robots. Test results show that the S6 Pure is able to remove all debris hidden in low-pile carpets as well as in tile grout in just one or two passes.

This robot has several sensors that detect the type of floor it’s currently treading on. When transitioning from smooth floors to carpets, the S6 Pure will automatically crank its suction power to the max.

LiDAR Navigation

A robotic vacuum cleaner is only as good as its navigation system, and we’re glad to say that the S6 Pure has this in the bag. LiDAR Mapping utilizes a sensor turret that scans the robot’s surroundings by spinning at up to 300 RPM in order to create an accurate digital layout of your home’s floors.

Using this system, the S6 Pure is able to create the quickest cleaning route—up to 15% more efficient according to Roborock—to get more work done per charge.

Multi-Floor Mapping

If you have multiple floors at home or in your apartment, then you’ll be happy to know that the S6 Pure is able to store multiple maps in its memory. After transporting the robot from floor to floor, it’ll do a quick scan and match its surroundings with one of the stored maps. This ultimately saves battery power by bypassing the thorough scanning and mapping phases.

5,200-mAh Battery

Speaking of battery, it’s important to know just how much of a charge it can hold. The S6 Pure draws power from a 5,200-mAh Li-Ion battery that provides up to 150 minutes of continuous cleaning. By Roborock’s estimates, this is enough to cover 1,610 square feet of floors before it needs to recharge.

If the S6 Pure hasn’t completed its previous vacuuming cycle, it’ll charge only to the amount needed to complete its task instead of waiting the full four or five-hour charge to reach maximum capacity before picking up where it left off.

2-in-1 Vacuum and Mop

The most prominent feature of the S6 Pure is its hybrid design. Not only does it deliver spectacular vacuuming performance, but it can also wipe floors clean of spills and stains by towing a moist microfiber cloth.

The water tank holds onto 180 mL of water at a time and can be adjusted to use as much or as little as you want when moistening the cloth. Just like other versions of the S6, the S6 Pure is able to vacuum and mop at the same time, provided the tank has water in it.

App and Voice Control

If you don’t feel like searching for your robot and manually pressing buttons, you can connect to it using your smartphone and downloading the Roborock app. This Roborock app is one of the most comprehensive robot vacuum cleaner apps we’ve ever tried.

Not only does it allow you to set up vacuum and mopping schedulers, but you can also define no-go zones where the S6 Pure cannot pass into, select certain rooms for cleaning, and it will even send you maintenance alerts for what needs to be changed and when. If you’d rather shout commands, Alexa will relay your commands to the S6 Pure.

Washable HEPA Filter

Inside of this compact robot is a washable HEPA filter that traps most pollutants of 0.3 microns and larger. The filter can be washed when clogged and has a maximum lifespan of about six months before needing to be swapped out for a fresh one. When it needs to be cleaned, you can receive the alert right on your smartphone. There’s very little guesswork involved in using and maintaining this handy robot.
